The Warriors would make it a series against the Rockets, but ultimately we're deeper and play better D(at least when we need to).
Warriors always have bad nights shooting wise against us. They've only shot well one time in like 6 games. I guess no one credits our defense? I think it's because we run them ragged with our offense and they lack energy for their offense.
We are to Warriors what the Clippers are to us; kind of the, "anything you can do, I can do better." I think the Warriors are a dangerous team because they can get hot and beat anyone. But, we can get hotter and are more consistent. I am more worried about Dallas and Phoenix than I am about Warriors. In fact, I will go so far as to say Warriors are the team I am least concerned about. This is not based off who is a better team than who, it's just we simply match up well against them and our strengths are just stronger than theirs.
The Warriors are only a threat if they get hot. When you live and die by the jumpshot and you get hot (1st round and 1st few games vs the Spurs in last year's playoffs for example), you can beat anyone. The odds are low of that happening so I voted no.
This is true. The Warriors of this year remind me of last year's Rockets (though their defense is much better), more than anything else. Nothing special about them on offense, besides the nights when Curry and Thompson are raining 3's like crazy. A post presence is underrated in today's NBA. It will become even more apparent in the postseason, where the simple presence of Dwight Howard will command attention and double teams, which in turn lead to our drive-and-kick offensive philosophy. Personally, I believe that only teams which can survive without doubling Dwight can beat us in a 7-game series. Coincidentally or not, those players' names are Marc Gasol, Kendrick Perkins, and DeAndre Jordan. Jermaine O'Neal had a career night on Thursday; I wouldn't read too much into it. The Warriors are definitely not a threat to this Rockets team.
What I think of the Warriors is that I'd love to play them in a playoff series because I think we'd win in 6. However, the only thing that gives me pause is that I think the league wants the Warriors to succeed, and refs get influenced in their home games.
If we could meet the Warriors in the first round, I'd be happy. MUCH rather face them than the Clippers
They don't match up against us very well. In the playoffs match ups matter a lot . Which is why I'm more worried about the Clippers ,Thunder or Grizzlies (if they make the playoffs ).
The Warriors were the most overrated team in the league coming into the season, I don't think they're any better than their record says they are, and they usually get dominated by the Rockets. I'm confident the Rockets could beat them in 5.
In a 7 games series the Da Rockets will win 4 to -2. "-2" you say? Morey will find a way. Some of you old snl fans might understand that one.
