You're right. TJones does not really fit into this picture. The only thing that works in this equation is TJones good rebounding ability in both end of the court. The system did not work out well enough against the Warriors (low scoring by Dwight) and, therefore, Casspi did a better work than TJones in that particular setup. Still, I consider TJones mobile enough to play with Dwight. Not optimal, but the best option right now. As said, McHale has always the option to go small. In most cases it has done the work. Unfortunately, in that particular game all the shooters were cold at the same time. It happens very rarely.
Who said he's supposed to be special though. Don't expect too much, he's a potential good rotational player. I doubt Morey got him hoping he'd play a big role on the team. He's young and hopefully he can develop into a 3 and D guy since we don't have one of those.
Yep, in the right situation, he is a starting PG, you just need a shot blocking big on the floor with him to compensate for his small stature. Dzd
If you read my earlier post that's what I said was the reasoning behind thus trade. As much as AB loves Houston, Morey did him a solid by sending him to a team that will play him big minutes in order to manifest that into a nice pay day. Morey is da man!
I doubt it, Morey strikes me as one of the coldest most methodical GMs in the business. If player A is even 1% worse than player B he will ship him out. It doesn't matter if player A was the best man at his wedding. He's an amazing GM to have running your team, but if your looking for the most compassionate GM you'll prob have to look elsewhere.
True. Isaiah Thomas was probably the most compassionate GM out there dishing out them contracts to players just trying to feed their families.
He is just another shooter, we need shooters. Hopefully Canaan can somewhat replace the shooting of Aaron Brooks. Seems to be a stronger version of AB, just green.
Brooks claimed that it was a hard decision for him to make. He doesn't really want to leave Houston but only for the playing minutes he will get in Denver. If it was a favor Brooks wouldn't have find it hard to accept would he? Also, he would have signed a better contract with another team but he wanted to be in Houston so he signed a lesser contract with a player consent to be traded.
