It sucks that Jeremy Hill is such a turd of a human being. He's a long 6' 233lb giant who can run through arm tackles, but wiggles like a 5'9" scat back, and has catcher's mitts for hands. He stretches and extends to catch out of the backfield to catch passes like Calvin Johnson and he also sells it out on pass blocking when he's held in the backfield. He looks like a genuine "feature back" to me - the only one I've seen thus far. But his "winning personality" probably crosses him off the Texans' list.
There goes all the stuff about Obrien type of guy or he only likes big QBs. BOB don't discriminate, if he thinks you can play, you play
My guess is that the Texans are going to trade the number one pick for more first round picks and/or a player they want. Next season's QB could end up being one that we already have even Schaub (scary). However, our QB's may function much better in OBrien's scemes and flexibility. Kubiak made Schaub into a robot. I know most of you think he is gone, but given the money they are paying him, they may give him another run. (will be very unpopular, but might happen)
I know I might get flamed for this, but Schuab is still a good quarterback. I think it was quite obvious that Kubiak's system was figured out. Play action didn't work, injuries to our star running back and possession tight end killed this offense. Hopefully, the Texans take Manziel/Bridgewater, but either way I am thinking Schauby will be starting week 1.
Really? I thought the reason Schuab had success for those couple years because of Kubiaks system. Its made for a QB. It's based on the run game and using safe and smart passes. If Schuab could no longer excell on that system, I don't know how he will in another.
People forget that Foster and the offensive line was the backbone of this team and not the quarterback. They carried two mediocre quarterbacks at best to the playoffs and back to back years and won. Running the ball made the defense better as well because they weren't on the field. Kubiak was a running back guru and not a quarterback guru just like Shanahan.
