I downloaded strider on old gen, looks just as good as next gen.
Glad I'm not popping $400 - $500 for a new system to play strider .

Why do people who aren't Japanese care about Japanese gamers ?

 

I'm fairly sure no one else is buying a PS4 or Xbox One to play Strider.

He's mentioning it because Japanese developers make video games too? Maybe he is curious as to how many PS4 will be sold? It's a Japanese console?

True, though Strider isn't exactly a great visual masterpiece (just a regular DD game). Actually, I'm a little surprised it is just 720p/30 FPS on 360/PS3.

As seclusion said, Japanese developers make games too. Capcom might stick the next Street Fighter on Android/iOS if consoles don't sell well there.

 

I find it weird since the beginning of gaming why people give a crap about Japanese gamers if they aren't Japanese .

It's like we care about how many Hondas are sold in the USA cause were Americans , but we don't care how many Hondas are sold in Osaka .

Why is strider being compared then ?

Where's the guitar hero comparison ?

I'm representing the people who's not going to upgrade cause there's no games on next gen that's better than old gen.

 

It's strider, it plays fine. I think FpS only maters on first person shooters not side scrollers .

The next version is a downloadable upgrade for ps3/360 owners, giving you more value and not forcing you to buy a new game.

Yes I notice that Japanese developers make games, especially those with lots of pointless cut scenes.

 

Capcom makes games for people who play games.
square Enix makes games for people who watch games .

 

You're not really representing anything, you're just repeatedly posting that you arent upgrading right now. We get it.

And you can't compare a Honda to a console. First off there's many different Hondas since it's a manufacturer and not an actual model. There is a "new" Accord and every other model every year. New console generations happen once or twice a decade. There's also direct competition between 2 manufacturers that released at virtually the same time. Honda competes against many different manufacturers and the Accord for example has a similar counterpart at each of those manufacturers. We might as well be comparing boogers and grenades. They're both generally green right?

 

I'm part of the large amount of people who haven't upgraded, we are gamers who aren't stupid enough to buy systems at launch.

Mario, Zelda, Metroid, and others are all Japanese franchies. Obviously the Japanese only know how to make stupid games that no Americans would dare to touch.

Why would I care about how well it does in japan?

The xbox was a total failure in japan. Has zero correlation to American success or taste.

Japan made street fighter , a great game , but I still don't care if the Japanese gamer skipped school to buy it.

Japanese gamers are people in japan who play games .

Again tell me why a whole bunch of Japanese gamers wearing hockey masks in line matter to this place which consists of mainly basketball fans who play video games

What about the wii u ipad thing ? That's pointless . Why would I want to look at an ipad if I have a game on my big ass tv?

1080p vs 900p or 720p, that's almost pointless . Textures and consistent frame rate is way more important .

What happened to game? If the game is good that's the most important .

People here talk about other crap besides the game.

That's why people will still play street fighter and madden and call of duty and Mario and bejeweled blitz.

Great replay value and multiplayer run.

I knew a dude like some of you here. He would say look at these awesome graphics and pause the game.

I would say, dude, un pause the game and just play.

Glad I have one of the overpriced machines to experience the game the way developers intended.
