It's just silly that he tried to cut through two players anyway. You don't see that too often. We paid the price for it. Who knows what would've happened if James was able to actually be aggressive in OT
There is no question that - this was a mistake by Lin. - people who blame him are really being way too hard on him and there are probably other factors driving those kinds of allegations. It's unfortunate but over the season **** happens. That said... Oh shut up. You make him sound like a beaten puppy. He's a grown *** man with a fantastic attitude who recognizes he's being paid very well to play ball. Just because he doesn't get to be the guy in Houston doesn't mean he's the recipient of some sort of mistreatment. Lin gets it. I bet he'd be embarrassed at the masses of his fans deflecting blame and complaining. That doesn't seem like him at all.
I'm going bywhat I see, by McHale's quote of how Lin plays scared on defense, and even by LOFs themselves who say McHale has Lin collared on a short leash. Lin did something seemingly inexplicable. But I think it is perfectly explainable. He saw his man getting wide open for a 3, and he's like "oh shiite muslim, I'm gonna get blamed again for the loss", and that's why he charged straight across like his life depended on it, with total disregard to all else happening in the universe. That's why he didn't see Harden's elbow. It's neither excuse nor blame. That was his psychology, with 99% probability. He is a beaten puppy. By McHale, in the metaphorical sense of being in the doghouse, in the sense of being dog-trained or operantly conditioned to fear making any mistake.
Reckless indeed. But be careful, they'll assume you don't play sports, lift weights, or whatever if you criticize their golden child. LOL
And people in CF keeps complaining about Lin having no basket IQ. He is finally using his Harvard smarts on the basketball court.
You guys are seriously still b****ing about the play? Lin was paying attention to his man, was trying go between Harden and his man rather than follow Curry around the screen or just bump into the screen. Most importantly it was an accident, just like the accident that put out Westbrook...remember.
Harden out for the season!!! I hate Lin for this. What has this overpaid scrub done for Rockets?!!! Absolutely nothing. He has regressed as a player and shown no heart of a winner. I think true Rockets fans like clutchfans agree with me and wish him gone. He is a cancer for this team!
Lin just wants to take out the number 1 option on our team since he was jealous and now Harden's career is over! I am so upset that Harden can no longer play basketball with his right arm! Obviously, Lin conspired with David Lee(good friends) to try to snap Hardens arm.
I wasn't saying anything about the quality of either player. People are starting to realize Doppleganger is extremely delusional and only here because of his fandom of Lin, I was merely pointing out had roles been reversed and Beverley had been the one to hit Harden's arm he probably would be saying Beverley was playing reckless and use it as even more of a sticking point of why Lin should be playing over him.
It's not silly, it's Harvard education. The shortest distance between two points is a straight line :grin:
My apologies. I responded more to an issue on this board and unfairly threw you in with the problem. I just hate that every opportunity to bash Lin is jumped on here. And this thread turned into another one. Clearly Lin was doing everything he could to get through which is his job. A job that he does better than some I might add and in the process he inadvertently hurt harden. And for that he unfairly gets bashed. So stupid but clearly not the case with you and clearly an indication I should read more before I write. Again my apologies P.S. I do think this Lin bashing on both sides is just getting old. I know clutchfans wouldn't tolerate racial and religious insults on here but some of this hate seems to stem from there. He is a Rocket who has been a perfect role model, citizen and he leaves his heart on the floor. Even if there are some overzealous fans on here supporting him., what does that have to do with Jeremy Lin. Chandler Parsons made some boneheaded plays last night. Howard played pathetic on offense last night. Beverly was 1-6 and geeting blown by at times, TJones played matador defense and wasn't even covered on offense. But some people have anti-asian colored glasses on here.
Haha no problem, understandable mistake with some of the ridiculousness that is said regarding the PG situation.
Anyone who has played basketball can admit at times as a player you have tunnel vision when you're on the court. Unfortunately Lin ran into Harden's arm, so what? I'm sure he didn't do it intentionally. McHale doesn't want him in the starting line up and favors Beverley . Who cares, we need the scoring off the bench and Harden needs to dominate the ball (right now anyways) to be effective. Harden's elbow is going to feel funny and he's going to have to rest for a few games but it's probably nothing too serious. Whatever move on people.
i'm blown away at the moderator's use of restraint not to delete, or ban, half of the posters here. i seriously commend you, clutch. if it were me, i'd clean house and start over.
