He is only 30 imagine if he got back into form. Even half of the player he used to be is better than garcia and casspi.
I was mostly joking. I like Canaan and have great hopes for him. But the reality is he has only scored 6 points in the NBA and until you do it in the bright lites you haven't done it. The D league is not that. Not saying he won't be all those things, just saying he isn't now.

I think this trade was more for Brooks than for need of Hamilton. Brooks needs playing time for his next year contract, which was not available in Houston. Hamilton is almost a copy of Casspi concerning his stats line except for less good FG% (Hamilton 39.0 FG% and 34.9 3PT% compared to Casspi with 43.2 FG% and 35.4 3PT%). Houston will continue to shoot the 3-ball because it is the right thing to do. However, the best (remaining) 3pt shooter is Parsons followed by Casspi, Garcia, Hamilton and Lin in that order. Unfortunately 3pt shooting is always unstable. If you had a shooter who makes always, meaning in every game, 1:3 (33.3%), I would have him shoot 9 attempts every game. Harden with his 6.3 attempts a game makes them at 33.9%, which is good. Parsons with his 4.7 attempts makes them at 39.8%, which is great. Casspi and Garcia only make 2.7 and 3.8 attempts for 3PT a game, respectively. That's barely enough for a team playing like the Rockets. More 3PT attempts would make Dwight's game easier under the hoop. It would create him more space and improve his offensive rebounding. I'm confident that all that will fall into place before the playoffs. The Rockets have improved considerably as a team during season and the chemistry starts to look great.
It is a smart move. Canaan may get some game time at the NBA level and Hamilton gets a chance to flourish in our system. If it fails then we let him go and have cap room.
Those vids don't impress me at all. Doesn't seem like anything special. If anything, looks a step slow.
That will be a great move. Jimmer leads NBA in 3 pt %. We need at 3 pt sniper badly after Garcia fading so bad on 3s this year. He will make teams hard to double Howard by playing inside out.
nice post but Can you tell me where our starter at the 4 fits into this, I would like to feel confident also
