Good for Daniels. He definitely deserves a spot in the NBA.

Many of us in the Vipers forum have been hoping this kid got signed/called up after we lost James Johnson to the Grizzlies. All he does is jack 3's, though. And the Vipers offense is pretty much predicated on jacking 3's. Here's some stuff to ponder :

Daniels shoots over 13 3's per game. The Memphis Grizzlies shoot 14.
He shoots 40% on his 3's, but is only a 42% shooter overall. Not sure if he can make a layup yet. Haven't witnessed one. lol
Why? Roughly 78% of his shots are 3's!
He actually is shooting fewer 3's in the past few games. There have been games where he's put up 20+ 3's.
Not too long ago, around the time of the D League All Star Game, he said 10-15 NBA teams had been in touch with him.

Of course on the night he gets a contract, he's bricking everything and the Vipers are getting beat up.... smh.

So basically this was done to keep his rights rather than allow another team to sign him ....

It makes sense. No disrespect to Ronny Brwer, but the first game back after the trade deadline, it was evident that we needed an outside scorer. The other issue is the rebounding.

But who cares about these moves? We know the Rockets aren't going to give these guys minutes. Never have and never will.

I'm currently watching Rajon Rondo. The way he controls the tempo. The way he makes all the right decisions; who hasn't touched it lately, where should the ball go now. Gee, I don't know. I might have given two picks and Parsons for this superior game management.

    It's a Tim Ohlbrecht/Greg Smith situation.

I'm beginning to suspect Boston wanted a high first rounder more than Parsons. So many teams tried to trade for those first rounders but no one got them I think. Even the Lakers chose to pay the tax rather than trade Gasol and not get that highest pick from the Suns.

Perhaps moving Lin for nothing which in itself is a hard task could have given Morey a chance. That is, it would allow Morey to add value to a Asik trade by taking on a bad contract or two. Morey was trying to deal Asik for a 1st.
