Even though I think Dennis Rodman was the better player and more accomplished career, if Rodman can get in the HOF then Ben Wallace might have a chance eventually.

    Basketball:

    Tracy McGrady
    Fat Lever
    Mark Price

    NFL(Pro Football):
    Kurt Warner
    Tommy Nobis
    Tiki Barber
    Bryant Young
    Alex Karras
    Jerry Kramer
    Steve McNair
Off topic: I was looking at the mount rushmore for the NFL on different sites, even some results from NFL network ... defensive players and offensive lineman don't get enough respect.

    MLB:
    Roger Maris
    Barry Bonds/Mark McGwire/Roger Clemens/Manny Ramirez/Alex Rodriguez
    Jack Morris

    Billups.

Has a finals MVP ever not made it?

JoJo White in '76, Cedric Maxwell in '81, and Shaq in '00-'02 (he will make it in though once he is eligible).

I don't think he's a HOF caliber player or a player worth considering. Whereas Ben Wallace was on the same championship team, he also won individual accolades that would make him a topic of conversation. Billups, on the other hand, hasn't done much statistically/individually.

    That answers my question.

I just couldn't think of any, that's why I thought he was an interesting case

The NBA HOF is like a high-end club in Houston. Anyone can get in and getting in doesn't make you cool.

Both of those players will easily be hall of famers by the time they retire. You guys keep thinking this is baseball.

I would say no. Similar case as with Penny. A clearcut hall of famer if he stayed healthy, but he didn't.

Never been to Houston, but your description of the HOF is spot on.

Rudy T isn't in the HOF, but he should be. They shouldn't do it posthumously...

Rasheed Wallce is an honorable mention type, not an HOF. Pau is borderline for me, as his career average is almost a double double.

    Derrick Rose?

He's had 2 major knee surgeries, and his game relies primarily on athleticism. I think his best years are behind him. At this point, the Bulls aren't title contenders for the foreseeable future so he won't have any titles to bolster his resume.

He's won an MVP, ROY, 3x all-star, and made a single all-nba 1st team. Is that enough to get him into the HOF?

Should Vince being the best dunker ever have any influence on his vote? I say yes.

None of these guys should be in the hall of fame. None have accomplished anything meaningful nor were they able the best player on a contender nor did they contribute to the development or expansion of the game in some way (as Yao did).
