I fear spoilers in this thread, since no way we are all on the same episode.

So, just came into say that I can't get enough of Rachel Posner...she has surpassed Ygritte...for #1 RAWR Girl in my current TV viewing pleasure.

OK, have to add another comment without looking at other comments. :)

Episode 7 .... this is just a sex and gossip comment...nothing major to the plot.

The scene with Remy and Jacqueline in Jacqueline's office was, imo, very well done. I've rewatched it four times. She's nervous and obviously thinking about him and how to breach the subject she wants so bad, and he just listens and leaves respectfully, which is exactly whats she wanted but she probably didn't know, so he leaves her so wanting for more.

I felt the same way about that 3 some, something very disturbing about it.

Don't think the Walker is going to disappear, remember Frank never opened the letter to confirm it was the one he wrote him. Misstep on Frank's part.

    Just finished Season 2.

    All Hail King Underwood

Really curious to see how the show progresses in Season 3 now that the main plot device (Frank fighting his way to top) has been eliminated.

If it's only a 3 season series, I'd expect it to cover his downfall, would be perfect for classic story structure.

Nah, next season is Underwood turning the United States into the United Kingdom of Underwood. I, for one, welcome our new overlord Underwood.

The more I think about it, I think this will actually be his downfall. Good observation.

Just finished. Definitely not as good as Season 1, but Season 2 sets up for some pretty interesting routes it could take.

    8/10 for me

Without spoilers, is this a good show? Doesn't sound too interesting.

This could rustle some serious jimmies with the Breaking Bad worshipers!

For me, in terms of recent television...

    1. True Detective
    2. Breaking Bad
    3. House of Cards

Dexter was one of my favorites before it fell off, and I think Game of Thrones is good, but pretty overhyped *ducks for cover*.

This is just crazy-talk. I love House of Cards, but it isn't as great as breaking bad in my opinion. Mainly, because at times the story doesn't stay focused.

    Examples from season two...

The whole situation with Freddy and his BBQ joined added nothing of value to the story in my opinion - yet they wasted a good episode and a half on it.

They abandoned the computer hacking case far too quickly. They spent 2-3 episodes focusing on it, and it was wrapped up far too quickly. Of course they still have the hacker causing issues, but they still abandoned the other plot too quickly.

The entire military rape bill seems like an afterthought to me.

The threesome with Secret Service agent - like WTF?

There are a few more, but you get my point. Overall I loved season 2, but season 1 was more more focused.

I think Breaking Bad was great because they made it a point to tie up every loose end. They never introduced a story or arc that they didn't wrap up.

I think they spent 1 episode on it but yeah didn't really add much besides to emphasize the point that Frank doesn't have friends despite what he thinks and it's all about his journey to power. He had that line about there being casualties along the way.
I think it was to introduce the hacker character as an enemy who Frank is unaware of it and who seems intent on uncovering him. I have a feeling he'll have a big role next season in Underwood's downfall. The male journalist character sucked, I wish he would've went to prison sooner.
Yeah it was very meh side story..like it was just meant to give Robin Wright more screentime. The main purpose of the bill in the story was to creation a divide between the Underwoods and Jackie but they could've done that a better way.
very WTF but they did tease him being bisexual in the first season and them having an open relationship.
