Is there any reason why Philly would want to not save a million or so dollars to buy out Granger, and make themselves worse in the process? I see no reason why this wont happen.

i'd like to have this terrible player on our bench
he's not been good so far but his role was totally different than when he got injured, dont think u can switch from being the man to being a role player in n instant. he would be fine as a stretch 4 for us imo

Weren't they under the salary floor before the deadline? Any money they save by buying him out would end up being spent at the end of the year anyway in payouts to meet the minimum salary.

Yeah, I'm all for picking him up if he gets bought out, didn't mean to suggest otherwise. Just not sure Philly really has a reason to buy him out.

If anything they could hold onto him to keep his bird rights in case someone wants to sign and trade for him in the offseason that is over the cap.

I like the idea of Big Baby. His mid-range game opens up a lot of space on the perimeter, but I can see how a lot of people want to keep things the way that are. Change is tough.

Surprised they waived earl Clark soo fast. Looks like hinkie might take a look at granger and try to get him on the cheap long term contract. Not sure if he would want to stay on a lottery team. He may just chose to stay and get minutes and play for a bigger contract. On a contender he most likely won't play so his contract situation will suck. Either way hope he gets back to being productive.

That's what I was thinking as well.

I believe they have to keep Danny to meet the 58 mill or so. I'm hoping they keep him, just picked him up off the waiver wire in my bball league.

Please no, TJones/Dmo need their minutes to develop and be showcased in the Love sweepstakes. Worst thing we can do is reduce their PT.

Would love to get Glen Davis and Granger but I just don't really see any of those guys signing here. Glen Davis is probably going to sign with the Clippers for a reunion with Doc Rivers. I see Granger signing with the Heat or the Thunder even. They both have the money and the roster space available.

Earl Clark would be the next available player. He can shoot to a fair extent, and be a replacement for Casspi and an insurance for Jones, D-Mo.
