It was an accident. Somehow Harden's hand was caught in Lee's arm pit. Lin made the right read on the screen set by Lee. You don't chase the guy on a pin down screen if you can avoid it. You go up the middle between the ball and your man so they don't attack the middle.
I hope it's not that serious. We're only 2 games into a brutal stretch of 13 games. After that, the schedule gets much easier. But it's gonna be tough if he's out more than a week or two. And BTW, that would make the Brooks trade look really bad(unless Canaan steps up) since Lin would move into the starting lineup and we'd suddenly be thin at the PG spot.
Did you even watch the replay..... David Lee set a screen, and while doing so, had Harden's right arm locked up. (Lee basically intended to use Harden as an extension of his screen.) Lin went behind the screen and his face crashed into Harden's arm. Say what you want about Lin, but that was a dirty play by David Lee....... Heck, Lee almost took Lin out with a moving screen earlier in the game..... (He sets the most blatant moving screens in the league. He will take someone out with one.) David Lee might be the dirtiest player in the entire league.
Steve Blake had a hyperextended elbow injury earlier last year. http://nba.si.com/2013/12/12/lakers-steve-blake-elbow-injury-out-six-weeks/ If theres a tear its going to take a while for it to heal 4+ weeks. Hopefully the MRI will come out negative tomorrow.
Still...how do you just run straight into Harden's arm like that -- it was right in front of him for god's sake. I've watched basketball for years and that was legitimately one of the stupidest plays I've ever seen. Why Lin, why?
It was a freak accident guys. It was no one's fault. ***** happens. Stop trying to find someone to blame. I'm no Lin lover, but damn, some whiny pissy kids around here.
yes, but there were also people in the gamethread/chatroom who were absolutely blaming Lin. It's an accident, but oh how dare Lin attack Harden's elbow with his face. Freak thing's like this happen in all sports, but i get the feeling alot of CF's don't engage in much. If only we could all be like Paulftsk
You can't blame him. Its sports, people get injured all the time. I won't deny that Lin was being stupid, but it was unintentional.
I guess the good news is he injured his right arm which is not his shooting arm. Still, I hope there is no severe damage to his arm. Props to him for trying to play through it, but this team will really need him during this long stretch of tough games. Just unlucky all around tonight.
Playing the blame game is stupid. I pray this isn't something that keeps him out for an extended period of time -- tough stretch ahead.
if harden's arm is badly hurt then i will hurt myself and everyone around me. This team was just starting to shine. Fuhk everything
We had a foul to give after harden's two. We should have foul curry Lin didn't even come to help he should have tried a charged or something and parsons bad defense. He always seems to be 2 or 3 steps behind his man. Just like the game against the wizard he got the switch and let his man pass. Or even if Parsons would have lob it to Howard when he saw O'neal. That would have been a sick lob. That's like the second poster blocked on Parsons. One against Phoenix and tonight. And what was Lin doing seriously :| going under harden like that. Did he needed a hug? Or something. And if harden would had shot it right away instead of hesitating it prolly would have gone in. Or take two or one step in even if it was a 2. It was kinda bad game tho. Since the beginning. And it all started w the refs. They call us and touchy weak fouls but GSW hit Howard or harden and they swallowed their whistles. That's why harden wasn't really in the game. And Howard was just off but they wouldn't call any fouls on O'neal
not literally but that's how I feel right now! if Harden's hurt then I will have a very destructive mentality
