Console Wars Thread! PS4 vs. Xbox One vs. Wii U Fight!

I really doubt the new zelda game will be out this year. If so they've been seriously keeping it under wraps (considering their current position I highly doubt that), I'm guessing winter 2015.

 

although i'll admit it's amazing they are really pushing the PS3/360 hardware to it's limits.. i wouldnt say it looks identical. Next gen clearly looks a lot better and i'm sure the differences are even more clear in person.

It's like upgrading to a ipad retina display from a normal one. . my gf at first didnt know notice the difference.. to me it was night and day and i could never use a non retina display since i see all the nasty blury pixels. Anyways after a few months of using her new ipad air.. she picked up the ipad 2 and was like OMG .. this screen is hideous and horrible!!

Also for people that care the PS4 will be the best version of this game in terms of graphcis.. higher resolition and framerate.

also to me the xbone seems just like a upscaled version of the 360. It was clearly not as sharp up close as the PS4. Also keep in mind like another poster has mentioned this video has already been compressed being uploaded to youtube.

 

also keep in mind this game was developed on the PS3 hardware and just ported over to the current gen.. so thats why the next gen is not heads and shoulders above the current gen consoles.

 

KingLeoric was actually putting in a dig against the XBO with his "identical to ONE of the next-gen version" comment I believe (i.e., XBO version looks identical to 360/PS3 version, haha it is so weak!).

 

Will FOR SURE get an xbox one if halo 2 anniversary is released

 

What do you think of digital distribution ? I think it's almost over for discs

 

They demoed Legend of Zelda on Wii U 3 years ago at E3, and formally announced they were working on a new title over a year ago.

They are supposed to give details at E3 this year.

Could be a holiday release this year.

 

DD will increase quite a bit, but I don't think it will completely replace discs (not for a while anyway). We still have games coming in at 30GB+. Also, retailers have incentives for buying their versions.

There is (and will be) a lot of developers favoring Sony then. I actually don't think the difference between the XBO and PS4 versions is that different compared to some other games. It is pretty much more of the same.

Just to be clear, I said "nearly identical", not "identical". Despite all being 720p, the xbone version does have the edge over PS3 and 360 versions if you look closely enough.

 

Today I learned that putting items on sale is an act of desperation, not a proven market strategy

That was a tech demo and had no game attached. Just because they're showing it at E3 doesn't mean it'll be out this year; if anything they tend to show games early in the development cycle. I really hope you're not holding your breath.

 

This doesn't really change the fact that XBO version is inferior now does it?
