Poor, Josh :(, nobody wants him. Except, the diggers, maybe.

Sidenote: The Hawks had NO conversations with him, before or after he became a free agent.

I think with the recent developments that Joe Dumars might be shopping Josh Smith and Brandon Jennings after signing them to ludicrous contracts, I will put him slightly ahead of Isaiah Thomas as the worst GM of the past 10 years.

    Rodney Stuckey
    Charlie Villanueva
    Ben Gordon
    Brandon Jennings
    Josh Smith

It's like any time Dumars has cap room, he wants his free agent signings to come in pairs of chuckers and undersized power forwards.

Him lucking up on Billups and Rip got to his head.

Then he took in a nutcase of Rasheed Wallace to be his solid stretch 4 and then it really turned him into "mad genius" GM in his mind.

So far that he decided that Tayshaun Prince was enough (LMAO) at SF that he could pass on Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh, and Dwayne Wade all to take Darko Milicic. (WTF!!!)

Yeah that's Joe Dumars for ya.

LOL...worst offseason signing of the year...even moreso than the Bynum signing because everyone knew that was a big gamble.

They overpaid a guy and now expect to trade him? Good luck...

First if was Ben Gordon and Charlie V now it's Jennings and Josh Smith.

poor Detroit first they sign bad players then they go bankrupt then their basketball team signs more bad players

Bumping this. Detroit wanted expiring contracts. Will they still take a TPE and some non guaranteed contracts now? We need to use up our cap space anyway and his contract doesn't look so bad anymore given our position now.

Josh Smith is the living proof of the Melo theory....

I will sign for big bucks on a crappy team now and then can always get traded later.

I don't think you can couple the TPE with contracts in a trade.

I think at this point there aren't many Forward/Centers worth adding to the roster. Rockets should stand pat and wait for next summer or the trade deadline in February. No need to rush anymore.

That's the opposite of what they need to do. If they don't use the cap space created by dealing Asik and Lin by Sunday at 10:59, they won't have anything to offer moving forward except the MLE and only Parsons to show for it.

Exactly. Rockets cannot waste time on any more FA/RFA, they need to sign someone and THEN match Parsons.

    But the clock is ticking.

I think the Caves gm is still worse though, esp if you combine the performance of the last two GMs. I'd rather pay smith or villanueva+Gordon max than Larry Hughes. At least dumars got first Monroe then that other stud, grant kept wasting top 5 pick after pick.
