In the sense that we traded a third string PG who has already peaked for, a rotation SF who is younger and has potential...we won this trade. Maybe a little competition is just what Garcia and Casspi need.

Hamilton is an AWFUL defender. Perhaps worse than Harden. I doubt Brooks allows this trade. Makes more sense for him to veto it and not lose his bird rights.

Safe bet that he approved the trade.

Lin ain't going nowhere. We're done. Gotta believe this trade was for Brooks. He was told there would be a real opportunity for him with the real possibility Lin would be traded. But now that that's not happening Morey approached him with a place he could get more minutes and Brooks said yeah.

Personally don't see much more upside with Hamilton over Covington.

I thought Lin went full r****d last night when he threw AB that "lob pass" down low. I guess Lin must knew something and he was trying to show case AB's jumping ability to save him, LOL!

Look, I'm not trying to say Morey is a bad GM. I've been an ardent supporter for a very long time. Let's look at the Asik situation though. A deal never materialized at the self-imposed deadline. Would one have turned up had Hinkie still been here working the phones? Maybe, maybe not. Who can say? But I just think it's an interesting thought to explore.

I guess I'm just wondering if there are some nice small deals here and there the Rockets would have otherwise not missed out on if he was still part of the Rockets' braintrust.

Also, people need to stop getting super defensive when anyone here even remotely questions anything Morey-related. I have faith in the guy too, but some of you are extremely touchy.

The thing is, AB most likely has to hang out in Denver for less than 2 months. They are probably not making the playoffs and the season ends mid-April.
After that, he can live where he wants and sign with which team he can make a deal with in the summer, maybe even Houston if he likes the city and the team so much.

Dwight Howard was signed on July 6th, 2013.

Would Hinkie have prevented Morey from making that move? Maybe, maybe not. Who can say?

It's pretty easy to make baseless assumptions.

I don't think this trade was about winning. It was the best Morey could get while appeasing Brook's desire to play. I am not convinced Hamilton is a rotational player. He needs to shoot 40% from the arc to make up for his D. Can he do that? Will see.

Brooks wasn't going to be a rotational player in Houston either.

Houston has been good to him and he will be good back. If it were not for Houston, AB would be playing in China.

He will be back in a couple years. He is not capable of playing real defense due to his size and has an opportunity for more play time with this trade.

Hamilton is 23 bro, so calm down with pegging him as an awful defender.....my God.

I asked Nuggets fans about Jordan Hamilton, and they said he can shoot the 3 and rebound well.

    He sucks on defense.
