Win a championship or two with Rondo & Parsons then let them leave if their price is too high. That is, if they're not traded for Love before 2015 free agency.
That's why Morey is on the clock to get the best team he can before having to reup Parsons. 3 star is nice but a deeper team is nicer IMO. Blowing up the team every 3 months isn't going to get us anywhere but in the playoffs. We should be trading non-core players for minor role player upgrades. Maybe use one of those 2nds for Evans if you don't think 2015 will be all that for us. But if that doesn't play out, then just let this team grow. Indy didn't blow it up last year and they weren't near as good as we are now. Let the team gel.
Parsons is a baller and we can't keep ignoring that he is going to get PAID pretty soon. This is similar to a max contract type player about to get paid and there team trading him away (see Carmelo, Williams, etc). Now its clear that he has been underpaid for years and wants a big payday. But is he willing to leave a championship team off the table for more money? Rondo is amazing. But will not have the intangibles Parsons provides. Its a toss up. The Glue or The Glove?
I think he will make some type of move.. Whether it is what we want or whether it is a "blockbuster" remains to be seen.
I could only think of Mehmet (if someone drunk said his name it could sound like Memmer??) Okur, but yours is better! Mr. Clutch types faster than I do.
How about this? Within the next couple of hrs we'll know what the right move was considering most on here would agree to DM doing the best for the team.
At this point, just stay pat. Don't want to get too desperate and throw everything at Rondo who is just coming back from a major ACL surgery. I'm confident Morey will say no if he thinks he is getting shafter
