Yeah the thing that sucks (future contract wise) is that Chandler is a much better player. He's way more efficient than Hayward.

True that. I remember crying my eyes out when we parted with Scott Padgett.

These guys are blinded by their homerism.

This is being said all the while, more than likely the Rondo trade won't occur.

When looking at Parsons' next contract I am sure they will be looking at deals that were given to Batum, Iggy, Josh Smith, Hayward (coming up), Deng (coming up), Tyreke Evens, etc

I didn't know that Rondo had played for the Rockets yet lol. I know we have chemistry with Parsons on board but your talking about at least another 6-8 points alone from Howard with Rondo being here and another 4 points at least from Jones. Let me ask you this what makes Parsons so special to you?

my thoughts exactly, and the reaction on this board to the possibility of trading him speaks volumes. then again, it's probably a factor in why ainge is trying to get him to boston as well..

I bet if Morey took on the Wallace contract, he could keep parsons.

Parsons is not the white guy. He is athletic.

Steve Novak is the white guy. Mike Dunleavy is the white guy. Not Parsons.

Spontaneous combustion, agreed. If we have both on the same team, they will explode and we will have nothing.

Chandler has been maneuvering for something other than your love. Don't forget that. You love him for his deal, but his deal will end and he will be paid. And when he's paid, he'll look a lot more like Ariza and a lot less like dream-player.

Bird rights on Chandler is more like a financial obligation. He is desired around the league. Let the league overpay him and let Houston win Championships in his wake.

    Go Rondo!

Don't know what Rondo's current contract looks like, but Parsons' cap hold is extremely valuable in our pursuit of a 3rd max while also retaining him that summer.

Who would we be giving up for his and Rondo's contracts?

This thread is like a pumped-up penny stock.

Thanks for the info cyberx, always cool to be able and hear whats going on inside (even when things don't happen)!

Rest of the trade deadline has been pretty boring compared to other years. I don't see any teams making last minute BIG playoff pushes or tank jobs.

I expected Philly to trade Young/Turner to a playoff team for a pick or more. Guess it won't happen.
