I agree with that. I'm more than willing to move Asik, Lin and Jones for Rondo if we can get backup insurance like Brandon Bass (who I believe expires before the 2015 Free Agency). Part of me is skeptical that Boston wants to commit $30m to Lin and Asik so a third team will probably be involved in any deal.

 

I suppose in case one of them becomes the next Chandler Parsons. Maybe 2nd round picks will become all the rage in tomorrow's NBA.

 

The only think I'm hoping for is Mike Dunleavy to come off the bench or maybe a Tony Allen.

maybe morey thinks he'll be able to just add a major piece in free agency down the line without having to part with assets. still would have rather gotten rondo now even at the cost of parsons. because as currently constructed, this team with this coaching staff will never sniff the finals.

I think Rondo is great but Skip used to hate on Lebron and call him LeBrick because he couldn't shoot. Does Skip think Rondo can shoot? Lebron does everything Rondo does but 10x better and he's bigger.

 

No excuse not be to be able to haul in a shooter, a second should be more than enough to get one of these guys.

 

The Celtics don't want that trade and everyone knows it. So when the trade scenario on all the networks is being discussed they only discuss it involving Parsons. NNL says stay where we are, First take says send Parsons. We know we would take Rondo the discussion is whether we want to give up Parsons for him.
