Glad I don't have class until 2:10 today Also not glad because I'm literally going to be on my computer pressing the refresh button for the next 2 and a half hours
Numbers Never Lie takes Bev over Rondo saying if it ain't broke don't fix it. He is third in our +/- despite playing only 36 games.
The guy is still trying to get back and clearly has to have his hands on the ball way too much. Bev is a steal to have over a current Rondo. I think if they trade Lin they should target a C. Lee type or backup 4/5 that can rebound and shoot.
lol what a thread nazi! is he not allowed to speculate about trades involving rondo in the rondo trade thread?
If you're Morey and your team is now the #3 seed and could be a #2 seed, what you're really looking for is that piece for the playoffs that allows you to matchup with your toughest opponents. In Houston's case, they've got issues defending the likes of Durant, Westbrook and Griffin. There is also the question of whether the young backcourt can hold up over a 7 game series against the likes of Curry and Parker. If Morey thinks he has a shot to win now, he will lean towards pulling the trigger on the Rondo trade but try to keep Parsons (though I think Parsons will be less effective with Rondo on the floor, and he'll slowly get marginalized). I think you could slide D-Mo, Jones, Green (if the C's trade him) and more than make up for Parsons' production with Rondo on the floor (and probably be more efficient than Chandler would be with more ball control in the PG's and SG's hands).
He is allowed to do whatever he wants. But it was a trade put together that made no sense or had any legs to it. There is 2.5 hours left, I don't want to see any more "hypotheticals", because half the time, I think they are the real deal.
Point blank, I just don't see Morey trading Parsons in a Rondo deal. I can see TJones being the sweetener, but not Parsons. I am sure Ainge will dig in deep with his request and Morey will back away.
