Trade deadline used to be fun. Now it's consistently underwhelming. But I guess a couple hours to go...
Anyone in their right mind knows Rondo is a better player than Parsons and would make that trade. It's better for the team in the long run. West point guards are great.
That's what happens when your team becomes a contender that doesn't want to blow it's core up. It's a lot more fun when they are in the middle of rebuilding.
You know what they say... Fool me once shame on you… fool me twice shame on me… fool me over and over… you're a Rocket fan
This makes sense to me. I'm sorry. Especially if Philly gives up that New Orleans pick...which is top 5 protected. We get that pick, combined with our own 2014 pick and then you can send Lin plus the 2 picks, plus the 2014 Knicks second rounder....that's pretty good value for Rondo.

Not a very efficient offensive player. He has nice scoring numbers until you realize that they are a result of volume shooting. He is a poor perimeter shooter, so he does not help spacing at all. He does not especially finish well inside. He rebounds reasonable well for a 2/3 and he has decent handles but they are not really reflected in his game in part because he just isn't elite at either skill and lacks lateral quickness. Defensively he has an aptitude and decent size, down the line he could be a very good defender. Right now he is a good individual defender but a poor team defender. His attitude has been called into question in the past, and he still views himself as an elite player and not a role player. I know that the Spurs had some concerns that Turner would not be receptive of being a bench player. He is not a terrible player, he can be a 10-12 year vet if he works hard and accepts his limitations.... but he isn't doing either right now. Also there were "rumors" about his personal off the court activities... supposedly was a result of insomnia, but I know there are still questions.
"Latest" same ole Stein line, literally: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>But I must note that Rockets' GM Daryl Morey always makes a deadline trade and we still have three hours left until trade season is over</p>— Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) <a href="https://twitter.com/ESPNSteinLine/statuses/436545120347762688">February 20, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
This is WAY off topic, but nothing is really happening right now so i'll say it. I hope Ray Rice gets prison time IF the reports are true. The elevator footage is insane.
But SF's of the two best teams in the entire NBA are better. You gonna put Casspi or Paco Garcia on defense against Durant?
Yeah but he's not the better fit for Houston. The 3rd best record in the west despite an overhauled roster, switch in offensive philosophy, injuries and backup center heart aches, and people want to blow it up? I don't get it. The difference between Bev and Rondo is less than the difference between Parsons and whoever we have to replace him. Also, the second half of the season is not exactly the best time to shake up the roster, especially when you're in third place despite the chemistry being established thus far. Trade for Rondo if you can do it without giving up Parsons or one of DMo/Jones. Asik, Lin, one of DMo/Jones, and picks. If they say no, then say oh well.
Sorry, my importantness. What is it that I shall do? I await your grace's answer blissfully. Never ever speak ill of his high thread locker. He knows all. Just like grumpy cat. His grace does not drink Lonestar. His stateliness is above it. Three hours? Does this satisfy m'lord Karolik or shall I have it locked up?
