I asked the same question a couple of hours ago and got the response of "they haven't posted since the lakers game finished"
I'm torn about giving up Parsons for Rondo. Whatever my opinion is now, it's likely to change half a dozen times between now and 2pm. Parsons is a 25 year old shooting .500 FG% and .400 3pt%. He can play exceptional defense as needed. He has improved every year and improves his play in the play offs. Those guys don't grow on trees, in fact they are pretty damn hard to acquire. But Rondo is that guy you need when teams like Memphis start playing physical with you. Anyone that thinks he is not a great point guard is delusional in my book. When healthy he is the best defensive point guard in the league. Great at running the offense. If your going into a fight (which is what a 7 game series is) you definitely want him on your side.
Had a dream last night - it was RONDO & ARIZA but morey had to give up parsons in the package, morey backed out last min.
This is a great point. We're on roll. Why change that? Because being on a roll does eventually stop. Our 22 game win streak ended and we got into the first round of the playoffs and we lost. That sucked. I hated that. I hate getting my hopes up all year, then the playoff beast arrives and stops our momentum. Rondo is the type of player that can pave the way for playoff success. He's done it before. Just like Harden, just like Howard, just like no one else on our roster.... crap. Do you watch him? Ever? He is money from the elbows. Even if he's leaning back or forward or jumping to one side. He can post up. He can get to the basket against the best defenders out there. You guys act like Rondo is some no talent a**hat. There is a big difference in how these baskets are coming. One is a slasher, the other is a creator. Creators dominate playoff basketball. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/2yI871TtWu0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/ekpxJfDd3j8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I don't hate Parsons at all, but if you have the chance to get a Rondo for him, you do it. It totally sucks to lose a guy that can punish you for sagging or losing sight of him, but Rondo is special.
Hey do u know if thats the only deal on the table? Is there other trades that will happen with or without a rondo deal and are there back up deals if it falls through? Or if it doesn't go we just most likely stand pat?
my gut feeling is that DM pulls the trigger on this because players of rondo's caliber simply do not become available that often at all. parsons is our guy that we drafted and great for chemistry, but he is not going to win us playoff series. rondo would put this team on his back and grab/claw/steal wins in the postseason.
I would not give him too. Morey dont do it. move Asik even in a a bad trade. and thats it. In the off season a lot of opportunities will be there thats my opinion
