Read this person's posts from 2 pages ago, I think this starter stuff is tongue in cheek.

The decision has been made. Don't know why there are more posts on this. Maybe it's because it's hard to quantify Beverley's value but easier to quantify Lin's. For the record, I don't believe Beverley is a better defensive player than Lin. Against the PGs he has faced, Beverley has been more of a liability in head to head match ups with Lin being able to handle his own and attack on the other end (e.g., Tony Parker, Mike Conley Jr., Isaiah Thomas, among others). Lin's advantage is his size. What Beverley does provide for the Rockets is a free safety's like attention to where the ball is to seize extra possessions. In a lineup that has 4 scorers, that might be all you need. During Houston's recent win streak, he has played that role well. But if you really break down Houston's current w/l record, it's Lin that has been the x-factor. Without him, the Rockets would be at least 6 or 7 games worse in the loss column, still a pretty capable team, but not a #3 seed.

Totally inexcusable and lackadaisical performance by Lin today. He's lucky no one is going to care since the Rockets blew out a really short-handed and terrible Lakers team.

He needs to bring it tomorrow against Curry.

Probably bring it tomorrow once he knows he won't get traded.

    :p

I swear to God, that "alley-oop" to Aaron Brooks was the dumbest play I've seen in a long time........ Good thing it didn't matter.

It's because Lin is our most consistent, all-star player and McHale and Harden are the only things keeping him back from superstardom. Is it not obvious?

It's because Lin makes stupid decisions that you sometimes question his BBIQ. Pat Bev makes you feel safe.

What I like is that even though Jeremy had a pretty ****ty game, if it weren't for some missed layups/floaters around the basket which he should usually consistently make, he still would've scored around 13-15 points in his 20 minutes. Which is exactly what we need as a 6th man scoring spark.

The turnovers, though, were pretty bad.

True. The jump to pass thing is incredibly frustrating. A coach with less patience would be dead by now.

He did it all the time with the Knicks. That's where it comes from. They embraced the PnR though.

Beverley's D looks good but actually not that good if you check the opponent PG no.s in play by play.

If he'd just let the game come to him naturally instead of trying to force the issue, he'd probably have lower turn overs. It's mine blowing how he can rack them up so quickly.

A good win is a good win and Beverley plays fine. Please stop this nit-picking.

I learned that the jump to pass leads to easy turnovers within 20 minutes of playing NBA 2K14.

The second unit (and the team in general) don't favor the PnR. They're also not nearly as athletic as Lin's Knicks squad was. I guess he's trying to build the right chemistry so that everyone can better anticipate where he'll try to place the ball.

How do you even jump pass in 2K14? The only times I ever do it is to pass out of a contested shot.
