ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Lakers 2/19/2014

Lakers are really bad. On the flip side, we are really starting to gel. I like this team!

 

Starting to be a believer in the Parsons hype - he makes the right plays, shoots the three great and makes some insanely tough fadeaways off 1 foot. Don't trade him- ever.

 

Summary of the Game: Lin laid an egg. Rockets won against the local YMCA team even though they were a man short. Win streak at 8. All is good in Rockets land.

 

beat a very bad lakers team without gasol and blake and nash and kobe. don't get to excited.

 

Were you a Rockets fan before January?

 

LOL Lin fans are comparing Lin to Chris Paul now. This will be fun.

 

I dunno..this team gave OKC a ton of trouble a week ago. Was a close game until the last minute and half.

 

Laker fans are upset with Howard , Parsons , and Beverly chanting " Howard sucks "

 

Lin's been compared to everybody. Stars and scrubs alike. You sound genuinely surprised.

 

The NBA is strange like that. Sometimes bad teams look good. More often bad teams look bad. Also, games on the day before the trade deadlines can get wacky.

 

not surprising, but sportscenter doing it's best to avoid any post game coverage.
they're reporting on anything and everything but this game.
waiting for some coverage on olympic curling any second.

Great win for the Rockets. I was worried they'd lose the momentum they had going into the break, but playing a depleted Lakers team always helps. Sucks that the Spurs won again, but on the flipside, they picked up a full game on the Clippers and Blazers. The key is to avoid that bracket with OKC so we don't have to worry about them til the Conference Finals.

 

There was a time when we would have struggled with this game.

 

I heard some posters said Lin will be traded right after this game.

Is there is news yet?

 

We can win by 100, and the dominating topic will still be whether Lin played bad or good.

I hope not. This team is playing well right now and most importantly is healthy. Even Asik contributed a lot tonight. Unless a much better(or equal but far cheaper) backup guard is available, why get rid of Lin?
