He averaged 13.6/7.6/6.3 on 45TS% and a 98ORTG. He was awful in that series and wasn't even being guarded.
If we do get Rondo, you can call this season a wash. It took us half a season to gel and we're still not fully there yet. Can you imagine getting a ball dominant player like Rondo? This isn't NBA 2K. Our entire offensive and defensive philosophy will change and so will our rotations. And we all know those things aren't McHale's strong suits. Doc Rivers who is known as the ultimate player's coach let alone a PG in his hey day had difficulty reining in Rondo who is a very abrasive player. Can you imagine him and Mchale butting heads? Think Kyle Lowry x100. Then again, he is a great player and a clear upgrade to the PG position. Is it worth the risks though? Only Morey knows.
Cyberx, who will the Rockets attempt to trade for (if anybody at all) if Rondo isn't coming to Houston?
If things don't work out we'll have to trade him for much less than his value or lose him in the FA because things don't gel with the team and they don't like him.
Plus, why not let a young Beverley prove himself? By all means, upgrade PG in the offseason, but I think Beverley is good enough to lead this team to a championship. What we really need is a sharp shooting guard or forward. Casspi ain't cutting it.
Yea I guess you just hope to roll into the playoffs with some semblance of knowing each other at that point. I do think someone like Rondo is needed for mental toughness.

If we are just looking at just the nba finals series alone and not the whole year then what you think about James Harden in the nba finals against the heat? That's just one series that doesn't reflect how he played the whole year or the full impact he had on the team that entire year.
Funny how everyone was saying the same **** about Dwight this past summer. Now the adore the guy. Also all the insiders doubters will keep saying thesame crap (pprobably more if it doesn't happen) from now till then. You guys are ridiculous. Really.
Are you seriously suggesting that a 98ORTG for a point guard isn't absolutely terrible? 45%TS despite not being a first, second or third option. Consider also that he wasn't even being defended. But yeah, he rebounded well...
Interesting how a guy who gets his team the best possible shot and who is one of the purest PGs in the game is called "ball dominant". I'm starting to think "ball dominant" on this forum really means "would not let Harden burn 21 seconds off the shot clock before making his move".
