Reading Celtics blogs Rondo's attitude and cold blooded assassin playoff performances seem to be his largest appeal. In other words they consider him being an ******* the biggest reason for a lot of their teams success.
Getting Rondo isn't necessarily the final destination. Rondo could easily be flipped in the off-season to get a Kevin Love.
Could be more smoke - trying to lower Rondo's asking price by reducing demand? Boston would be best served by trading him to the West and we're one of the few teams that doesn't have a cornerstone PG and assets to acquire him. This could just be a move to light a fire under Ainge...but who knows
Yup, so he can have that attitude elsewhere winning 35 games a season on a scrub team. I've always wanted to pass on him.
Meh...Rondo wouldn't care too much during the regular season. Rondo takes his fair share of plays off during the regular season, just like every star player does (and should)! Gotta conserve energy. But the playoffs are another story though. You gotta go full throttle then.
cyberx, How much say do Howard and Harden have on this kind of stuff? Will Morey get a guy he thinks will help win a title even if Howard and Harden worry about him?
Deng, Affalo, Dunleavy, Millsap, Teague are all playing so far tonight. Not saying they cant be traded but just putting it out there
Look at what Celtics fans are saying about the Rockets: http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1298766&start=690 I lol'd
I must say that Rondo wouldve liked playing in Houston, but if the big two are skeptical...there is no deal. Howard and Harden really have bonded with Parsons...and I am very sure it would take a player like him to get Rondo to houston. Once again, Boston is caught in a tough situation having an aging PG and no legit returning talent. The shelf life on PG's are limited, and I am sure that Boston is re-evaluating that stance now as we speak. Never count out a deal as done till the deadline comes around...but with the scoop from cyber and king...This seems like the star players have a much more influential role on personnel decisions...really handicapping Morey. Thank you cyber and king for all of the inside info. Much respect and appreciated.
Cool that Morey is giving his two stars some sort of input in this potential deal. Could be a game changer, could be just him getting a second opinion yetstill making the ttransaction. We shall see...
