There's several of us still against it. However, if it actually happens, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.

Smith is a good passer, elite defender, and good finisher. He's a top 30ish guy on a team that's a terrible fit for his skills.

That's sort of like when they say that Chuck Norris' tears cure cancer, which would be great except that he's never cried.

Central decision makers like to receive feedback from different levels and people. It's not that they rely on a single, anonymous guy or anything.

But I'd set up a system to tap the collective wisdom of the fanbase, because as he has acknowledged in the past, there are some smart fans out there.

Obviously, he has smart guys internally. But does anyone doubt that in a possible fanbase of a few million Houstonians smarter guys aren't outside of that office?

I am still against it. I feel like unless Harden makes way for Rondo, it is going to be a powder keg waiting to blow.

I agree with the replacement part. If Parsons does get included I think we either insist on getting Jeff Green back or have a second trade lined up for Deng. I don't think its likely we see a true 3 team trade however unless its Philly or someone else agreeing to pony up a first rounder for Asik and sending it to Boston.

Rondo's Yelp account is active as hell right now. He's grading a bunch of Houston spots.

Absent Parsons, those teams have much more to deal than Houston. Makes sense.

Surely Morey is confident him and the people in his office are much more qualified to make this decision than anyone else in Houston. I do doubt that there are smarter people on this board than the ones that Morey handpicked to help him make these decisions.
