Are you guys thinking of rookie year parsons? Again I do not NOT want to give up parsons but he's not a great defender by any means. I don't consider melo a 2 way player but his defense isn't much worse than parsons right now
You're right, it doesn't happen as often now as back then, but if we were to get Rondo, that would be my biggest concern, specifically during the playoffs, instead of the remaining regular season games.
Exactly. Why would Morey trade CP, whos value is at an all time high for Rondo who's value is at an all-time low and coming off an ACL injury.
Like he cares. I am guessing if Morey includes Parsons then he would try to trade Beverley or Brooks for corner 3 point specialist who's a decent defender (Garcia in the playoffs last year). The problem is neither make anything.

Think of it like this, dwade is a pretty bad 3 point shoot (can't remember his exact numbers) and the heat never have troubles on the playoffs with teams doubling off him
i'm convinced that any deal with Boston would have to be all about picks, or blue-chip prospects like TJones. As Boston is in full rebuilding mode, what on earth would they want with a year and a third of Asik and/or Lin? It'd have to be a 3-team deal that brings Boston back solid 1st round picks. I don't think we can move Lin or Asik for solid 1st round picks. THerefore, i can't imagine a deal going down which doesn't include Parsons. Will hold out hope though...
