Console Wars Thread! PS4 vs. Xbox One vs. Wii U Fight!

Titanfall will help, but some of you guys are really setting your expectations too high if you think it will dramatically change things all by itself. It would have to have an effect orders of magnitude greater than say Mario (or whatever the most popular exclusive you can think of), which seems pretty unlikely, especially since it isn't even exclusive to the XBO (and it is unlikely the franchise will remain exclusive either).

As I've said before, dropping Kinect (and reducing the price by $100) will help XBO MUCH MUCH MUCH more than Titanfall.

 

But I want to talk to my xbone.

I also like that it recognizes me so I don't have to sign in manually.

 

Titsfall will definitely make an impact (every game does). Even with PS4 launching in Japan soon, by the end of March the gap between the PS4 and xbone is not likely to be over 4 million.

 

I just don't see it. Maybe if it were Halo 5.

 

No I do not, tho I think some of the posters in this thread do work for ms.

Also for your information, the word "fanboy" used by young people usually means people who loves everything about a product, is willing to defend a product against facts, and like to other people "fanboy". There was a discussion on this matter earlier in this thread and a few posters helped coming up with this summary.

Lastly I do believe the gap between PS4 and xbone will not exceed 4 million by the end of march, but still I respect anyone who disagrees.

 

I do love ms office. It might be my favourite product from ms. My least favourite product from them is ie.

People who have real jobs know that the xbox is not microsofts big product.

Nintendo might turn into sega if they are not careful. Don't be surprised if the wii u is scrapped for another piece of hardware or Nintendo gets out of the main console business.

 

The Wii U suffers from one primary concern and it isn't hardware. It's games. True, hardware changes might make it easier for developers to pump out games like crazy, but as it stands the game support from Nintendo alone has been crap.

 

What Nintendo can't afford is back to back flops. They survived GameCube, they will survive WiiU. Sadly, neither is a terrible system and both had good games.

 

Their games lineup is a lot better than PS4 or XB1, and is less expensive than both.

 

Upcoming line-up? Sure. Line-up since launch? Hell no. I feel shafted buying that damn console. I use my XB1 daily, my Wii U is now with my PS3, in a box labelled "Sell?".

I have a Wii U, and I'm a huge fan of Retro Studios but I won't be picking it up any time soon. I still need to finish Super Mario 3D World. With Titanfall, South Park, Infamous: Second Son all coming out next month...eh...

I don't know why they stacked their line up with platforming games any way. Retro should be making another Metroid Prime game, damnit.

 

Bah... I would never sell my PS3, if for no other reason than I can't stomach the idea of never being able to play Valkyria Chronicles or Demon's Souls again.

As for the WiiU, I know I'm a broken record here, but:

I bought a WiiU almost exclusively to play X. I loved Xenoblade, and if X is as good as it looks like it's going to be, it'll justify my buying the system all by itself. And as a bonus, Nintendo land is great fun with 4+ people, I got to play Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate online... and then there are the mandatory Mario, Zelda, Smash Brothers entries.

Definitely not the great, expansive library that I'm sure the PS4/XBO will both have, but it's enough.

 

That's really the only reason I would buy a wiiu. Xenoblade was maybe the game of last-gen for me.

IF it comes out and IF it lives up to the hype, then I'll THINK about getting the wiiu.

I just can't think of any other games that legitimately interest me for it, and that holds true for the other next gen consoles as well.

PS3 on the other hand ... Tales games, persona, bunch of awesome backlog I haven't finished yet ...

And having 2 little ones doesn't help with gaming habits.
