Your analysis comes from a purely offensive perspective. IMO, Rondo would be more of a benefit for us on the defensive end. Pat is decent but Rondo is an elite defender. We have real problems with the better point guards in the league and Rondo would make them work alot harder on the defensive end immediately while he continues to acclimate within the offense.
For God's sake people, please stop trying to analyze the situation in this thread. It makes it almost impossible to get the actual updates. This thread should be for updates only, to be followed by it's happening gifs upon good news...
You either hope he's willing to take a small discount to play with his guys (after unloading the coontracts of Lin and Asik), or you go into the luxury land, which Les Alexander has alluded to before.
I understand their frustration, it is exactly how we all felt when we gave Asik his original contract, they haven't watched him close enough to be able to realise how good he is in terms of helping a team win
