Rondo is elite pg The idea is rondo being an elite pg would be able to get harden ball in right places. More so than lin. Also rondo should be able to get howard better touches. So overall better. You can't classify 2 players all the way in the same manner. True that rondo isn't all that great from outside but he is that much better in assists. And I think lin is actually decent at assists. If anything would be better to lose bev or brooks than lin if we get rondo. But seems like lin would be a key piece of the trades being discussed. You are have remember the overall bar raising with rondo. Chemistry is an unusual thing and with rondo controlling it ..overall should give more assists and easy buckets for harden and howard. It's an overall result thing. Also the perimeter defense improves with rondo. The interesting thing will be to see who we lose out of brooks,lin, and bev.
You do realize that's 2 completely separate trades, right? Obviously the Rockets need to cover the loss of Parsons with Turner, so for us it's both or nothing, but it can't be a 3-way trade if there's no movement of any assets between Philly and Boston.

Asik nearly lead the league in rebounding last season. Rondo's value is a question mark because of his injury, but he used to be a MVP caliber player so you got to give something to get something & Lin is not enough from the Celtics perspective & not what their team needs most.
Just so you know, using the term 'McFail' makes you come off as a 14 year old. Get over it. We CAN win a championship with McHale because 1) We have the talent to do so and 2) our players respect our coach. A lot of people were frustrated with Rick Adelman, many more were upset with JVG. Face it. No coach is perfect. Even the best coach in the league today cost his team a championship because he sat Duncan in game 6. You can find faults with ANY coach or player.

LOL at not wanting to give up Terrence Jones to get Rondo. And besides, unless it's a 3 team deal, Celtics wouldn't want/need Jones. They have Sullinger who is currently a better player than Jones. I'm iffy on trading Parsons to get Rondo. If it's the old, healthy Rondo, then Morey must do this trade if he wants a legit shot at the championship.
No to Parsons for Rondo. If we can land Rondo without Parsons, you do it. If not, tell the Celtics they'll just have to let him walk in the future.
If morey trades parsons.... I would be very very disappointed. BUT, i know he's not dumb, so it won't happen. Asik/lin/1st for rondo + filler
