While I feel there is a lot of loyalty to Parsons, I think we are going after Rondo because of Dwight's request for this team to get an elite pg...which is why we also tried to get DWill. I would love for Parsons to stay on this team and obviously would only trade him as a last resort, but at the end of the day, this team is built around Howard and Harden, not Parsons.
We wait it out with Parsons, we still have a window to make improvements. We trade for Rondo, and it doesn't work out. We basically find ourselves in a cluster ****. Time to play it conservative and not throw everything on the table. CP is integral to this team's success.

They have been all morning! News is slowly leaking about the Rockets and Celtics talking about a Rondo swap. Sounds like Parsons and picks which would make sense about what King Drew said. King Drew proclaimed Morey is in the Deng camp right now. Morey is working it.

I don't see Chandler being a part of a deal for Rondo. Why pay top dollar for a once elite PG with no shot coming off a brutal knee injury. Rajon hasn't even been all that great this year. Doesn't make sense.

Where do people rank Rondo among point guards? If this happens, I'm going to be sad as I think Rondo was overrated pre-injury. Though I'll be the first to admit I haven't seen much of him and pray I'm wrong. I see him as second tier and not a superstar like Love or Aldridge and don't know of he's a good fit as a third piece of our "big three". Is he top 10 with guys like Paul, Williams, Wall, Rose, Irving, Parker, Westbrook, Lillard, Dragic, etc. ? Similarly, where do people rank Parsons among small forwards? I think quality PG's are much easier to find then quality 3's outside of the Melo-Bron-Durant trio.
Rondo and Deng for Asik/Lin/Jones/picks/minimum salaries out , Green to Cavs. That would be pretty epic if Morey could pull that off. You could then roll out a 4th quarter lineup of: Howard Parsons Deng Harden Rondo Strong!
