Definitely has to ease the pain of divorce and watching your career irrevocably go down the toilet knowing that he can use the phrase correctly.
I am not saying Felton got played - but she probably figured out what was needed for her to graduate from Cornell and now law school. No kids so she wont get any child support and all but she probably is smart enough and knowing the law how to get enough money out of him. She probably saw the baller lifestyle would run out soon for him and while I have no clue on Felton's personal finances - chances are that he would end up with little to no money like a lot of athletes and that point of their lives -- guess who would be the one supporting their family in like 6-7 years? A old former NBA player who has no other real world skills or the lawyer? My guess is that she didnt want to be the one supporting Felton down the line when she saw that. The women I know that went to different law schools - the ones that were part of the Ivy league ones at least - tend to go for partners who are better/as good as them in the work world to challenge them professionally and intellectually throughout their lives.
Yep, this is spot on. She saw the writing on the wall, and bailed as soon as possible. Felton's career is heading south fast, and she doesn't want any part of being an emotional and financial crutch for him 5 years down the line. I feel bad for him though, since it's obvious that she probably never loved him.....she just loved the potential lifestyle he brought with him.
"“I’m human. I’m going to have mistakes . . " probably means he cheated. Got caught and wife finds out. She files for divorce.
