As I said, this is a prime draft and he took a ton of 3s every season starting with his 7th. What is so hard to understand about it? He obviously didnt like shooting them in his first years, but then developed into a great volume 3pt shooter.

    Where's your context now?

Prime doesn't mean you can take his shooting from the last season and combine it with the athleticism from early on in his career.

I'm not sure if you're serious here.

In his best overall year, IMO, he was a really good but not elite shooter. Rick Barry was an elite shooter.

Wow man, his last SEVEN seasons! Wtf are you talking about with last season. Are you incapable of reading stats?

And he shot 37.5 3pt% and 38.8 3pt% in his two highest ppg seasons, where do you see his prime then?

Look at the shooting guards in this draft.

Jordan, Kobe, Ray Allen, Reggie Miller, Jerry West, Dwayne Wade, Clyde Drexler, Vince Carter, Manu Ginobili.

Dumars is clearly a better shooter than Wade and Drexler. He's a really good shooter. But he's by no means an elite shooter for a SG. That's my only argument and I'm done with this.

My definition of an elite all time shooter is Jerry West, Larry Bird, Ray Allen, Reggie Miller.

Your definition of elite is quite different.

    Let's move on.

He has the 3rd highest by far out of this group and trails Reggie by only 1%.

Look up stats before you come up with empty statements here. 1.2% more than your "elite" Manu.

0.7 more 3p% than Larry while taking more. Again, you're going by reputation instead of looking at basic facts and numbers.

Manu's not elite. He did shoot a lot more 3s than Dumars though.

But ok, if making up my arguments makes you feel smarter, feel free to do it.

Dumars last 7 seasons: 4.9 3fga per game
Manu last 7 seasons: 4.54 3fga per game

    You really suck at this.

Again, I'm ignoring the shortened 3 point line seasons since those are obviously inflated.

You really do not understand how to read other people's arguments.

In their primes, I have them rated as very comparable shooters anyway. Dumars is better defensively while Manu is a better playmaker.

Also PER 36, Manu shot twice as many 3s as Joe Dumars for their respective careers. I can pick and choose stats as well.

His two highest ppg and above 38 3pt% seasons were before a shortened line, so there you go with that.

Also, your statement said Manu "did shoot a lot more", which is easily debunked by numbers. Doesn't matter if he had more per 36, he still shot less. Just basic comparison between shots taken, converted and %.
