Also says the Rockets wouldn't do it. The Knicks just don't have the right contract to make it work, ie large enough expiring.

    I will do it
Shumpert + hardaway and expiring to pair the lin contract give us two nice young guys plus around 4 million in flexibility next FA.

Love Simmons reaction to the potential Lin for Shumpert/Hardaway Jr. trade.

    "Oh God! Why NY?"

Does the salary even workout? If not and the rumors are true, there has to be other players involved.

Would Hardaway Jr be more appealing to Boston in a Rondo deal than Lin?

I think that's a win for both sides actually, hardaway and shump for lin, we got backup 3 for parsons and shump can take Lins spot. Meanwhile they got a top 10 pg to replace Felton

    Agreed
Asik + Hardaway Jr + shumpert + Hou 1st for Rondo sounds a nice trade for Boston and for us
and NY are happy with it

No, they'd have to add more salary, eg include Felton + min contract.

Wouldn't Lin's cap hit only be 5mil to the Knicks due to the poison pill? If so, the trade is more manageable. No doubt Morey would do this.

Financially, it doesn't work without us taking on Felton or JR Smith, both of whom have three years left on their deal. (Well Felton has a player option for some reason I can't fathom)

    Don't see this happening.

Why would Knicks want Lin? It would be slap in Dolan face. I don't think someone as proud as Dolan will accept it.
