Ban this troll. Zoplicone is a butt-hurt Lin fan who can't stand the idea of Lin backing up a legit all-star in this league. Rondo is the best PG in the NBA after CP3. I've been waiting for this since mid-season. The Celtics want to rebuild and Rondo is the last player/asset they have and they don't want to dump him like they did Pierce and KG. They want something of value and Parsons, Asik, a PG, and picks is definitely an offer they will be interested in.

Assuming an Asik+Lin+Parsons for Rondo+Bass scenario, i might be willing to concede Lin and Bass as a wash but doesn't anyone think that Asik+Parsons for Rondo is way lopsided? That is 2 starters for 1. I think i missed the games where Rondo is = to an unstoppable max contract player. Feeling a little skiddish going into this deadline. I would like to see how this current roster matches up in the playoffs.
W/e im confused You wouldn't trade Asik & lin for Rondo? A proven elite point guard (with championship experience) vs. overpayed 6th man & above average defensive & rebounding center?
I agree with cyberx. Look at what Gordan Hayward was offered by the Jazz. Parsons is playing better than he did and he will most likely get offered at least that. I'm not saying he's not worth it, but our roster would be locked and stay the same if we match the offers he gets. We would have to build with late draft picks and small FA signings every off-season.
Definitely would be an exciting move. As an aside, if we do get him I can guarantee a lot of posters will be hating on his horrible perimeter shooting and free throw shooting after only a couple games. Before cyberx reported this, so many of the same posters who are extremely in love with the idea were hating on it before there was a possibility this trade goes thru. Funny how that works. I would definitely weigh insider info from cyberx heavily. No trade packages were ever suggested but the fact that we're looking at Rondo narrows down a lot of fantasy trades we would have otherwise dreamed about.
