Strawman. A very small percentage of the posters on this thread think we can get Rondo with that package or for that cheap.
that was from the laughable bleacher article report, not CyberX. Cyberx's trade scenarios included Parsons.
Keep in mind they were willing to part with Bass, Lee, and a 1st for Asik earlier. So they value Asik at around a 1st. So if the Rockets throw in another 1st, they are not that far apart. This is actually a realistic, doable deal for both sides, give or take a bit.
Sorry to double post, but I think Boston would take Asik + Lin + two unprotected firsts (2014 & 2016) for Bass and Rondo. They would be mid-to-low picks, but it's a plausible deal for both sides. I think both sides can hit this.
Being a loud and persistent contrarian in a popular thread is probably a good way to get rep. Just thinking out loud here.
To be more specific, given that part of that deal was about getting clear of Lee's contract, I'd say Boston values Asik as a very late 1st rounder, which is not even as good as a top three 2nd rounder.
Let me explain to you how and why you are an idiot: 1.) First of all the post you were responding too had nothing to do with Rondo, it had to do with WOJ. 2.) His information is not that we are getting Rondo, it is that we are trying to put a package together to get Rondo. 3.) Nowhere did he say that it was happening. 4.) He has proven in the past to be a reliable source of information (insider) before it is public. You do not share that designation, so stop being a tool.
