The only way "unprotected first round pick" makes sense if it is a lottery pick... so there would have to be some other trade to get that.
If it is true, give boston the 2015 1st unprotected (I think they prefer an unprotected 2015 than an unprotected 2014)

I'd do it, our pick will be late anyways. We still have like 3 second round picks, if I'm not mistaken.
Lin + Asik + unprotected 1st + (something else of value like a 2nd round pick) Rondo + Bass I'd hit that for both sides. But a second round pick may be worth more to Morey than any other GM in the league, so I don't know if the Rockets be trading 2nds.
Rondo=guarantee starting point guard (spotty health for the past 4 years) Lin= backs up both guard spots Asik= Have you seen the numbers opponents put up when Dwight sits during Asik's "injury" period? Having both Asik and Lin> Rondo' services

Really starting to fall in love with the idea of Rondo with this roster. Think we can beat OKC if the right trade is made.
For what it is worth, Chad Ford just said on the BS Report podcast that the Knicks really want Jeremy Lin, and that they would give up Hardaway and Shumpert for him. Now, that sounds crazy to me (as it did to Bill Simmons). Again, just relaying info, for what it is worth.
