It's really interesting how much power Woj really has. With the cult-like following he has nowadays, he really has opportunities to crap on players and organizations if he doesn't get what he wants (i.e. J.R. Smith).
Didn't he play with Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant?* I'm not trying to be condescending but the guy played with players who are on his level and above his level and he had no problems scoring.* If we had a more competent coach that ran plays, I'm sure Harden can run curls and get open for easier shots rather than trying to take the ball and do it all himself.* In fact, it might even prolong his career playing with Rondo as I can see Harden getting to the free throw line a lot more with a competent playmaking point guard. And what they've been doing is partly due to the fact that they couldn't get an actual point guard.* I'm not saying what they've been doing hasn't been successful (e.g. their current record) but come playoff time when you need someone to man that point guard slot, would you rather have Rondo, Lin or Beverly in a 7 game series? Morey has intimated in previous years that one of his objectives is to acquire elite talent and worry about fit/chemistry later because the former is definitely harder than the latter.* And that's right because you no longer have Kobe/Shaq feuds, Marbury/Garnett jealousy stories, etc. Players nowadays want to succeed and they know it takes more than one guy to get there.* And Rondo and Dwight are friends off the court already.* If Morey wants Rondo I'm sure Dwight and Harden don't have an issue with Rondo's "fit" nor his overblown "ball dominating" tendencies. Bottom line:* If Paul Pierce can score with Rondo on the team, Harden can score with Rondo on the team.

The Boston Celtics have 3 1st round picks in 2014(including their own), with the possibility of garnering multiple picks in the 1st round for the conceivable next 3-4 years...from bad bad teams (really just the Nets). The Celtics are aligning themselves nicely to be relevant in the next few years. If the Rondo trade scenarios(ie. Yoyo's suggestion), the Celtics wouldve amassed 5 first round picks in the first round of this 2014 draft class... And that would be unbelievable.
Not to get off-topic....but yeah, when WOJ goes into "column-mode" it is fire and brimstone! Back to Rondo. I am all in for Rondo if the Rockets can get him without giving up Parsons and too much of the farm. It is all about "matchups" in the NBA and the Rockets have to get through Chris Paul and Russell Westbrook. Having someone the caliber of Rondo would be huge in that aspect.
I don't think he does it of spite. When he shares his "opinion" pieces he's pushing third party agendas as payment for info.
