The Lakers don't have the assets to get him in a trade. No good young talent and no picks.

Forget insider, you are one heck of a fan and a person. TO a person like me who LOVES this organization, especially with what I am going thru personally in my life, your updates on my beloved rockets and your dedication to us fans have definitely had more of an effect taht u can ever imagine.

IF talks havent even gotten as far as rondo hypothetically signing an extension here some 40 hours prior to the deadline... what do you think this means? Is it unusually late in the game for those type of talks not to surface or come up if something were to happen? Thanks! Keep the updates coming!

    Trade CP25 my a**

    Say it ain't so murray

CP is the heart & soul of this team & represents murphy's genius...

Do NOT trade CP25 because that will be a turkey thing to do

Win/win trades are rare because the CBA deliberately designs a market that is highly illiquid.

Salary matching, salary cap, trade deadlines, how much cash can be transferred per year, rookie contracts that prohibit players from being free-agents as many employees in the real world are...

Otherwise, tanking teams and small market teams would dump/sell all their players to Knicks/Brooklyn, who would make the highest bids, and who would annually field 5 player all-star teams, Yankees-style before baseball put an end to that.

Newbie growing pains...can't upload pics. That or I'm too stupid.

Anyway, I sorted all SF's by PER on ESPN (I know, not the best stat, but it's one of them). Results below:

    1. KD = 30.99
    2. LBJ = 29.4 (pretty accurate so far, right)
    3. Melo = 24.61 (a tier below)
    4. PG = 20.42 (another tier below)
    5. Jeremy Evans = 19.14 (Is this the guy who dunked over a painting of himself last year? Did not know he could play ball )
    6. Gay = 18.46 (he's playing better than his usual self in SAC)
    7. Kawhi
    8. Beasley
    9. Parsons = 17.09
    10. Pierce
    11. Deng
    12. Ariza
    13. Batum = 15.63

I left some values blank because they are not particularly useful, seeing that players ranked 4-13 can roughly be grouped together. Iggy does not belong in this conversation, as he's been underwhelming, minus the game-winning 3 against OKC. :p

When I sort by TS%, Parsons is at number 4 (behind LBJ, KD, and...Martell Webster only), with an eye-popping number of .597

This alone should propel him in the top 5 conversation, since he's mainly a scorer. However, he's improved his ball-handling skills and can occasionally run a PnR, although I cringe whenever I see it.

    OFF-Topic post over. :p

Present a case that convinces me the opposite.

His TS% is and has been god-awful. He can't hit threes. He doesn't get to the line that much, and when he does, it's a disaster.

His overall advanced stats profile is incredibly underwhelming for a guy who has the reputation of an elite PG

Yeah, I'd imagine Morey would just assume that any star joining a team with 2 other stars already in place wouldn't want to leave. There really wouldn't be a better option available that would have the cap space to sign him out right.

Will the Lakers go after Parsons when he's a free agent?
