Thats quite a statement to make after the guy has only played 10 games since he has been back from injury.

How exactly has anything cyberx ever posted hurt the rockets? For all we know they may want him to put this info out there.

Under the Luxury Tax. $$$ has to go to balance the deal. $$$ meaning contract(s).

Last in the long run? Durability wise? or Contract $$ wise?

Not if it's NOs first rounder which should stay steady between 10-15.

Maybe, if a team gives hinkie a 1st for HAWES or TURNER he knows he can get better for ASIK now, summer, or next deadline (asiks way better) so then ASIK will be considered an asset and to help him get to his cap minimum for now.
Plenty of teams in the west would give up a 1st for asik that morey didn’t want to deal with before.

seriously! it is really amazing how so many are prognosticating the demise of Rondo given that he just started playing again. If sports medicine has taught us anything recently, it's that players often regain their pre-injury form, and in some cases, can actually get stronger from rehab. If Greg Oden can come back from having his hip surgically altered so that one leg is not longer than the other, and still come back and play in the NBA, Rondo can regain his quickness and tenacity after his ACL injury.

That's why I said its more valuable than a LATE 1st round pick.

I think he means health wise.

I believe he was dealing with back issues not too long ago that had him missing a handful of games. Could be (dare I say it) McGrady like severity??? Who knows. Just speculation at this point.

Morey has some decisions to make. Does he really want Rondo ? would he be willing to give him to the suns for the 1st round pick he needs ?

If we get Rondo, we get more experience

Rondo - won nba finals, 2 nba finals appearances
    Harden - NBA finals appearance
    Dwight - NBA finals appearance

Pretty smart of Morey, instead of acquiring superstars who can't win a playoff series, he gets ones who have been to the dance

And that's the whole reason for the Asik trade to acquire that higher first rounder instead of just using our late. Your suggestion was to just lift the restriction on the Philly protected second, which in turn I suggested wouldn't work since they would want an earlier first rounder on top of our other first rounder which would be late.

I gotcha. I was just suggesting that assuming the Rockets couldn't get a high 1st round pick for Asik.

cyberx, is there any chance that you've heard whether or not Rondo is willing to extend in Houston?
