that's funny because the xbox one is big, heavy, and definitely not made for traveling purposes. If anything you would be better off with a PS4 since it's much smaller and lighter. Moreover you could have purchased a vita for remote play and be able to play all your ps4 games from the vita without even needing to bring the system with you.

Titanfall doesn't integrate any of it's gimmicks in the multi-player except for the mega kill streak machine thing.

I carry an Xbox One just fine in my GAEMS system. It fits in the exact same one as the Xbox 360.

Are you dumb? A bird in the hand, is worth more than 2 in a bush. You are producing a game, new IP, and you don't have any idea how well it will sell. If MS or Sony can assure you of a certain amount of money upfront before release, you are not going to pass that up.

The reason EA took the money is because Titanfall is a new IP and just because ReSpawn's founders has a great history doesn't assure success. Also, Titanfall requires a server infrastructure that had to be built or already in place. Sony doesn't have that infrastructure at the moment, MS does. EA saved ALOT of money by not having to build that infrastructure.

The truth is many PC gamers did decide to buy a console this generation. Last gen the difference was clear and the 360/PS3 graphics were inferior (especially during the first few years), but consoles are finally catching up (due to lazy PC developers not taking advantage of the latest cards and not making the graphics for PC games ported over any better than the consoles even though they clearly could).

Next-gen I think I will go with a new PC since it will be time for an upgrade.

    Haters gonna hate.....:p

Don't worry.....I'm sure a buzz-worthy EXCLUSIVE, MULTIPLAYER game is in the pipeline from Sony. Somewhere.... We don't know what it is or What year it will be released....but I'm sure it's coming. :p

Dude, he already admitted he bought an Xbox One because his clan voted and that's what they decided. He had no say in the matter. He is now the defender of the Xbox One that his clan decided he would buy.

I think the fundamental problem here, though, is that it doesn't make sense to discuss the XBO's graphics capabilities in a vacuum, without PS4. It's a fact that the two are direct competitors, and it's a fact that almost all developers are going to release games simultaneously on both platforms.

So the question becomes how the developers are going to achieve that. Early in the 360/PS3 lifecycle, they liked to develop games on the 360 and then port them to the PS3. So a lot of games looked crappier on the PS3 for awhile.

But in that instance, you had the fact that the 360 launched significantly earlier (no longer the case), and you had the fact that the architectures were substantially different (also no longer the case).

In my estimation, most developers are going to tweak all the stuff like draw distance, AA, texture quality, lighting, etc on the to achieve a ~30fps, 1080p experience on the PS4, and then they're going to take that and put it on the XBO at a slightly lower resolution. Because it's a lot easier to do that than to re-optimize everything else for the XBO. And honestly, I myself would prefer they tone done resolution rather than start sacrificing other stuff.

#1....I'm not buying a Vita. LOL. Worthless. I play in a Madden league and the Vita is useless. My iPad I travel with is more useful for Madden.
#2. Yes, the Xbox One is bigger than the 360 slim I had before. However, I still fits in my Computer bag or old Xbox carry case I have. PS4 would still be bigger than my old 360.

OH....NOW no one cares about Exclusives....LOL. Go ready a PS4 forum somewhere......they care alright. Of course, when you don't have that many that are buzz-worthy....that is what you fall back to.

Clan? LOL. No. Madden league. And I have always preferred the Xbox controller over the dual shock. The majority did also.

    This thread in a nutshell.

RC Cola, who is most known for video game news on this forum posts the latest sales figures. Mr. Scarface and Svpernaut see the PS4 is selling double the Xbox one and take that as a threat. They believe RC is attacking the Xbox when he is just posting the latest news/specs/info all relevant data to these threads. They begin to scream developers don't know what they're doing, attacking the PS4 and claiming Titanfall will fix everything.

    Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

Until the next consoles come out.

Wash. Rinse. Repeat. (But there may be other posters who take their place).

I just looked up that GAEMS system and that is cool. I might have to get one of those. All the hotels I stay at have HD TVs now so it's not a big issue. My biggest issues has been the NAT changes on the Xbox One. That can be a pain in the ass over hotel networks/cell phone hotspots. I haven't had a chance to test with the new update to see if it has improved.

What resolution is that 15.5 inch monitor for the GAEMS system?

EA knew Titanfall would be huge, that's the reason they backed Respawn. Remember, Respawn is only about 60 employees - so the cost of development is far from other major titles.

However, EA also knew that they could leverage Microsoft to make it a PC and Xbox exclusive. Microsoft needed that exclusive because Halo wouldn't be ready. It was a brilliant move by both EA, and Microsoft. It was mutually beneficial. Microsoft footed a lot of the upfront cost in the exclusive licensing fees, and EA gets to keep their investors happy by covering development costs.

I care about exclusives. As an example, I'd love to have The Last of Us on Xbox. Is that a big enough exclusive for me to go out and buy a Playstation? No, because it lacks replay value. But exclusives do sell consoles, one way or the other. I'd put money on at least a million gamers buying Xbox Ones over the lifetime of the system to just play the next and future Halo games.

The only exclusives that have lasting sales effects are multiplayer and generally competitive. Games that can't evolve online, are forgotten a few months after launch. Just look at amazing games like Bioshock. They are truly masterful, but once you beat it - you're done.

720p on the 15 and 19 inch models. I've had both, I gave the 15.5" to a family member who spent about six months in the hospital. Used it as an excuse to upgrade to the 19". The Xbox One fits in the original, you just take the pad that would go under the Xbox 360/slim and put it on top of the Xbox One when you close it.

The 19" is worth the extra investment. The screen is superior, the sound is better and the remote control is nice (I use it to watch netflix too). If you keep an eye out you can score sales. I got the Halo version (didn't care for the branding) $150 off at Microsoft Store in a sale. I've talked to GAEMS in person at PAX and on Twitter, and Xbox One models are coming so it may be worth waiting.

As far as the network, I just have the personal hotspot on my phones I use. I usually stay in Hiltons, and they have decent enough internet - but like clockwork at about 9:00PM it slows down every night as people fire up Netflix and start watching p*rn.

Did you notice how you're the only one saying "fanboy" in every other post? Hmmmm....

Um. *Raises hand*. I have a gaming-worthy computer, I've always bought all the consoles, and I plan to buy both the PS4 and the XBO when there are actually enough games for them for me to care. And I hardly think I'm the only one. Of my gaming friends, ALL of them play games on both PC and console.

Funny you should say that, because I also noticed you still haven't given any examples of how Kinect is anything but a novelty/gimmick. Good job on that, dudebro.

Disagree. My favorite games of the past console generation were Valkyria Chronicles, Demon's Souls, and Dark Souls. While the latter two had an online component, it wasn't the main draw. And all three of those are extraordinarily replayable. So is the original X-Com from 1994. I could play that thing forever.

Multiplayer is not a requirement for replayability. Great gameplay is.

I don't care what those fanboys think. Like I said, fanboys always try to find a reason their console is better. This game is not on Xbox, HAHA, PS4 is betterz! A lot of it has to do with reddit, but they also contributed to the PS4 beating the Xbox by spreading all of the news early on (which caused M$ to go back change some things and built the PS4's hype). They made the console war about competition which is always a good thing.

Exclusives are not what they used to be. This is not PS vs Nintento 64. It is not Tekken Tag vs Smash Bros, or Mario Kart vs. GTA. Developers want to make the most money they can and they will do that by expanding their market and selling on both consoles targeted towards the same gamers. If M$ or Sony can form an alliance with Nintendo where they create games for their systems and stay in the handheld market then that would probably change everything. Until then, exclusives won't mean much to casual gamers.

Yeah, well, I dont even have to turn on or use my controller. By the time I would have to get up, get my controller, turn it on, etc... I could already be watching The Walking Dead.
