If we get Rondo and he's healthy, we are the favorites in the West. Right now, we look inconsistent and and inexperienced. People really underestimate how much he steadied the game for Boston, espeically in the playoffs. A lot of his smart, hustle plays don't show up on the stat sheet.
Exactly. I'm a Celtics writer/fan, and reading these posts, it's clear that he's pretty underrated by some of you guys. Rondo can shooter better than many give him credit for, and he would fit in with Houston's offense better than you think. Also consider how much the game slows down in the playoffs, which is why Rondo becomes so valuable then.
I absolutely hated the Suns back then because of Danny Ainge and his ball throwing. Would love for Morey to stiff Ainge somehow for payback. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NN1gfT2IUuo If it wasn't for Sir Charles, Ainge might be in a wheelchair
Why are people just assuming that Rondo comes back 100%, needs no time to gel with the team, and won't suffer a Rose-like setback soon after his return?
If we get rando, i would want Bev gone, and Lin to come off the bench. Just seems like a better mix of defense and offense. I dont like Bev off the bench for the Rockets. He is my fav player outside Harden, but thats just the truth.
Yeah, I noticed. Shooting was his only flaw and should plenty of open shots in HOU. Good news. Future looks promising because the 2nd year removed from surgery is normally when guys get full strength.
We all know the risk, obviously he still isn't at 100% since he's not playing in back to backs, but the reward could be greater than the risk. The "Rose-like setback" could happen to anybody, but at least we'd still have Bev and could slowly ease Rondo back to form and get his chemistry going with the team off the bench or with limited minutes as a starter to begin with. Either way we've got a good core where we can take the next half of the season to acclimate him to his new surroundings smoothly.
No one's assuming that. His health is a big concern. But his contract isn't for five years, it's one, so if he suffers a setback he's hardly an albatross. You can get him and hopefully compete for now while still not affecting plans for 2015.
Agreed. I think D-Mo and T-Bird will both be gone but hopefully I'm wrong. Can't see any scenario where both are retained in a Rondo trade.
Don't be hard on yourself. It's better than the one I made. Thanks for taking the time and now I know how'd look! Yes. As awkward as something like that might be, yes.
if hinkie gets a 1st for hawes or turner like he wants thats were the 1st can come from. He still has to get closer to the cap with keeping hawes & turner. If he can wing a first for hawes he knows he can get WAY better now, summer or next year for asik if he sends him west.
