OK, I'll break down the Ilyasova part... Some player out of Illinois ("IL"). Then "ya", so he agrees with me.. then "so" and "va". I'm stumped. Not even going to try to figureout "Rondo" or "Milsap". The guy is just inscrutable.
swing for the fences Morey. This team as it stands is not going far, now or in the future. Parsons isnt the answer. If we dud out in the playoffs this year Mchale's head is on the chopping block.
I think Doc stopped giving a damn about the cryptic messages because every time he would post one everyone, for one reason or another, would b**** at him. Sharing information with the boards stopped being fun for him. It's a shame.
The Bucks seem like they'd give up on Ilysaova for a bag of peanuts but would Morey really want to take on that salary? Maybe the go all in is moving Jones and Lin for Rondo and then Asik for Ilyasova. If so we all need to pray deeply that Ersan rediscovers his shot.
I don't agree whatsoever on your point about Harden, but I kept reading. But Lin better than Rondo....
Is there any substance to the Millsap rumors? What was the "projected cost" to acquire him when we thought Dec. 20th was the deadline to move Asik?
I sifted through the 50 or so pages of this thread and seen the Hedging burst at the seems the longer it goes. -"Don't be surprised if this Happens" -Half the team is on the table, and the Celtics are licking their chops -Parsons is almost surely in the deal -Oh other teams are making offers now too -Now those offers look better -Nothing is imminent -Parsons really wasn't THAT available -Highly unlikely this deal happens (obviously embellishing the quotes) Look I'm not trying to say that Cyberx doesn't work for a agency or have inside information, but I do think that his coming on strong at first and then backing away from his initial strong sounding reports isn't going to help his case around here. I appreciate the reports, but there is a lot going on this week, and everyone is talking to everyone, and everyone is being mentioned in deals in some way shape or form... I'd like to see a little more finite information first before I get my panties in a bunch. I believe Clutch himself has vouched for Cyberx, which makes his insider status pretty legit so I do appreciate the reports, but I do think coming on strong and backing off when other reports come out doesn't help the case for those who think he's full of it.
WHAT DID I SAID FEW PAGES BK 3RD TEAM WILL BE NEEDED & ITS EASY TO GET RONDO, I'm not a source but I been calling a lot of things lately.
I agree with you that if he does this Rondo deal he is just trading for a name because Rondo and Harden cant coexist in the same backcourt like Allen did. Harden is a scorer that needs the ball to maximize his talent, Rondo as well. Allen was a great scorer too but IMO was better as a spot up shooter for that team. Huge mistake if they break up this group for Rondo. TBH the only thing I feel this team needs is time and experience.
S While I do think Rondo takes it to the extreme with the attitude, I do think this team needs that type of attitude. Not taking cheap shots or dirty fouls, but the attitude of not backing down and going down without a fight. Our team needs that desperately. No knock on Harden or Howard but neither has shown or grown that mean streak you need in games sometimes. Lebron needed to grow a mean streak before he could win his championship. Every year, it seems KD is getting more of an attitude. The Spurs have Pop to bring that fire into their players when they aren't playing well. How many times this season has this team gotten down and practically stopped playing? That first OKC game this season, the Rockets couldn't get anything going and Durant was all too excited to rub it in our face. Our team just gave in in the first quarter, unacceptable. Having a player with attitude wouldn't have given in without stirring up some madness. Maybe a hard foul or a technical here. Just something to wake up the guys. That Rockets team pre-Artest had the same problem of being too nice. Tracy's mean streak was very rare and Yao was all too nice until the 2009 season. Then we added Artest and BAM! Slowly our players got an edge. We played clean but they got an attitude of not giving up which helped up in the playoffs and pushing the Lakers to 7 games.
unless that 3rd team gives up a 2014 pick it seems like they make out the most getting both Jones and Asik for just a future first and filler. I would imagine that the celtics would want Jones considering his emergence and attractive contract. if anything would structure your deal like this: (of course its what I would hope) rockets: out: jones, lin, 2014 pick, NY 2nd pick in: rondo, bass celtics: jones, 2014 rockets, first round 3rd team, ny 2nd pick out: rondo bass 3rd team out: first round pick (not 2014) in: lin of course salary wise i dont think thats possible
http://www.torontosun.com/2014/02/17/raptors-have-interest-in-rajon-rondo Toronto after Rondo. Presumably, Lowry would be a part of the package. I frankly would prefer that Morey participate in a multi-way deal to snag Lowry and get Rondo to Canada.
