Celtics fan here...I think this could turn into a 3-way with Charlotte: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=mspyed5 The Bobcats are reported to be hot on the heels for Brandon Bass...but it's not like they'd trade a first round pick for him. Solution! Trade their 2014 first (via Detroit) to Boston, and get Houston's 2014 first in return. So the deal would look like this: Boston In: Asik, Parsons, Gordon, 2014 1st (from DET, via CHA), 2016 1st (from HOU) Houston In: Rondo Charlotte In: Bass Just speculating, because I don't think Houston's 2014 1st would truly be enough in this deal. Ainge will want more, like he always does, but it wouldn't take away from what Houston is already giving.
Here we go If LOFs were a song it would be this on perpetual replay. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/rsjevMbPqW0?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Source said Sacramento offered Isaiah Thomas, Ben McLemore and two picks for Rajon Rondo. Rondo wasn’t interested in re-signing with Sacramento. - Marc J. Spears http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba-po...tml?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter If that's the asking price for Rondo, I don't think we can afford him
No need for Parsons; Asik, Dmo and two firsts should be enough. Then Parsons, Lin, and Jones for Love! Rondo Harden who cares Love Howard
I know right? Loving it. Lin topic is old. We should have pointless arguments about other things once in a while.
CF needs to have a ban policy specifically written for the long list of bannable LOF characteristics such as: LOF delusions of grandeur; e.g., "Lin will put up 30/9 on the Celtics" LOF sensitive ego; e.g., "Yeah. It's all Lin's fault." To be fair, the policy should be stickied on the front page very prominently. Like, "1,012 LOFs banned", the way McDonalds has "1.1 billion served" signpost out front.
Parsons is not being offered aggressively by any means. Morey would consider it for Rondo... He's not "untouchable".
Better deal then we could offer up... The Knicks would love him but have NOTHING to offer. Same with the Lakers unless they're stupid enough to give up their lotto pick.
Dude, DM would trade away both his daughter's favorite player and his daughter if this increases the team's chances for winning a title.
I don't like rondo, doesn't seem like a winner. How many championships has he won without Pierce, Allen, and KG?
I don't think so. There's a lot of good point guards nowadays. Parsons is our glue guy --- the man that keeps us together. That's going to be a big loss if we trade him, even if its for Rondo.
Bev has higher value he is a starter, cheaper contract & is similar to hurt Bradley who they are not resigning this summer. He asked for $8mill Danny said no.
I agree completely. Don't get me wrong, Rondo was a stud PG in the past. But his strengths are in his defense and his ballhandling/passing We already have a defensive PG in Beverley. We already have a ballhandler in Harden. I know a lot of people are going to disagree with me, but Rondo would require several pieces to acquire, and I cannot see any situation where that makes us a better team.
Perhaps I rather enjoy railing against complete intellectual black holes? Like creationists, proponents of the F-35, Keynesian economists, global warming doubters, 6,000 year old world believers, fear mongering US debt alarmists and the like. And somewhat below that are the CF posters who are led around like lemmings in some Gothic Poe tale by people with "headline insider" opinions.
