    I though about Bosh as well, but Codman stated a Harden type player, which again describes Wade in my opinion

    Oh, man. Lin wearing jersey #7 is so obvious and I didn't even pick up on it. I was thinking, Lowry? (Maybe.) Melo? NY wouldn't dare, and I don't see it anyway.

    So obvious. (hitting forehead with shoe)

    Not that it's necessarily the answer here, but still...

    The Heat wouldn't trade Lebron for those pieces and Harden even if salaries worked. I mean come on.

    Doesn't Wade play the exact same position as someone already on the Rockets roster? I just cannot think of his name.

    Substitute Bosh for Wade and you may have a valid trade idea. The trouble is that no one would be able to beat Miami in a playoff series.

    No, Codman specifically said "James-type" of player and the posters on here drew up conclusions that he's talking about Harden. It could mean a (Lebron) James-type of player like a forward that can play both ends of the floor for all we know.

    Put Riley is bold enough to make that trade. Wade can still be great, but he is breaking down very fast which should raise some red flags.

    Yes, Wade and Harden have similar games. However, when you can get that kind of talent, you make it work. I could see Wade getting minutes at the point... also going small at times with Harden at the 3. I can't really think of a reason the Heat would move Bosh over Wade in this scenario. Bosh would be perfect, but that just seems more far-fetched than the Wade idea.

    I have the same thought it's Dwyane Wade. Only him matches pretty much every hint, and it actually makes basketball sense for both teams if you put emotions aside...

    And just to go back to the whole "Maybe it's for Wade" idea....there's no way Pat Riley is going to trade the guy that brought him his first ring since his LA days (and probably the biggest catalyst in getting LeBron and Bosh to Miami) for nothing less than Durant. Wade might not be elite anymore but Riley won't screw him over like that.

    Yeah, Pat Riley will trade the heart and soul of their team and who was also a responsible of recruiting LeBron and Bosh. Seriously? After winning back to back titles and still being the favorite to win it again this season? Sorry but i just don't see it. They won't stab Wade in the back like that.

    its not like hes trading him to the Magic/knicks.. Hes trading him to a true contender where his friends Harden and Howard play, so i wouldnt see it as a stab to the back

    Trading him alone to any team now is a stab in the back.

    It is a hard concept to comprehend, but roster fit is at least as important as roster talent.

    "Dwyane, I appreciate all that you've done for this Miami organization. I couldn't get this team to the Promiseland when I was its coach during the Mourning/Hardaway era and I certainly couldn't have won my last coaching ring without you and the refs. Of course if you weren't here, I wouldn't have been able to get LeBron and Bosh regardless of how much cap room we had because they wanted to come play with you. That got us 3 more Finals appearances and 2 more rings. Let me do you a solid: Rather than letting you ride out into the sunset, I'm going to trade you to Houston so that I can keep LeBron here for a few more years. What happens with you and Houston...that's up to you to decide. Who Knows? Maybe you can come back to us as a free agent and sign an MLE contract? K.I.T homey"

    Conspiracy theories are an ugly thing to behold. Anyone here need a tin foil hat? I am thinking yes to that one.

    Because Wade has a ton of mileage on that body, and is well past his prime. Bosh is also now past his prime. If Riley can turn Wade and Bosh at this year's deadline into a younger, leaner (and better) supporting cast, he should. It is the smart play. Lebron is a businessman, he'll be on board with it.

    Lebron has surely conveyed to Riley that he is going to seriously consider other options if Riley can't provide him with a supporting cast that he can keep winning championships with. This means trading Wade and probably also Bosh. This is an old team.

    Whoever gives Wade $75-$80 mil this summer will regret it, big time, I know that! If Asik + Lin gets traded to Miami, don't assume Wade goes back to Houston. Another variation on my previous trade suggestion works:

    Dwyane Wade and Chris Andersen to New York;

    Omer Asik and Jeremy Lin to Miami;

    Tyson Chandler and filler {Ronnie Brewer) to Phoenix;

    Luol Deng, Iman Shumpert, and Miles Plumlee to Houston;

    Donatas Motiejunas, Phoenix's 2014 first round pick, and Emeka Okafor (expiring contract) to Cleveland.

    The New York Knicks organization has always been the place where bad contracts go to die. There is a team that is dumb enough to give Dwayne Wade $75-$80 mil this summer.
