I enjoyed them being out in the open exposed, having to deal with zombies. Not so sure how I feel about the new people and so called safe zone. The show gets stale when they are "safe". The farm...meh....the prison....ehhh..... Also, when Glen and that lesbian chick left the prison, were non of the governor's vehicles drive-able? There had to be quite a few trucks and SUV's parked around the perimeter of the prison.
-Glenn always with the hot chick. -carol coming back like that was such a cop out. They could have at least stretched out the scene a little and then showed someone helping them, revealing after who it was. Instead, Carol saved them and got them out of there in record time. I see cudlitz has a new gig (abraham), he was on Southland before
Started watching season 1 about a week ago and am now completely caught up. I'm such a loser. Haven't gotten any work done.
I like the new army dude. I feel like the first three eps could have been a strong half hour or so. Show for the most part has felt that way.
Show is piddling around aimlessly. Hopefully some kind of purpose or story arc emerges soon. I've now moved TWD to my DVR list. I'm close to skipping the last 5 episodes and binge watching them during the summer. Too much good NBA & college basketball on right now with conference tournaments and March right around the corner. Other strong shows I like a lot will be resuming soon.
i have a feeling he is going to lose hope with finding maggie and hook up with her, then discover maggie is still alive somehow
I had successfully forgotten about this show coming back, and thanks to some peer pressure, watched all 3 episodes back to back. Whoever said they aren't reuniting until the finale, that's what I'm putting my money on too. Or the last few episodes will each feature a key reunion leading up to Rick and Judith, or Maggie and Glenn. Too much to cash in on to not make it so. Besides Rick's storyline leading into nothing, this ep was much better than the last two. Carl's much better as a tool to develop other characters than as anything resembling a protagonist.
Tara is gay. I really hope the writers don't write that glenn hooks up with her. that would be terrible... and the other dual pistol girl, I thought, was with the army guy. I was really happy that Tara got to stay on with the group. I thought she was really funny in those Governor-centric episodes and brought some much needed levity to the zombie apocalypse. sadly, I don't think she is going to be funny anymore now that her family got wiped out. thank goodness for the army guy and that doctor, I'm thankful for the humor they bring. I know it's the apocalypse, but the constant somber tone is getting to me. the show could really use a "Hurley" character, an avatar for what the audience is thinking. I didn't realize how attractive tara (alanna masterson) is until she was on talking dead. Spoiler Anyone notice on talking dead Chris Hardwick is not as enthusiastic as he once was about the show? he has even asked some questions in the first talking dead of this season challenging the direction of the show.
I think the Show has gone downhill ever since Mazzara was let go. The guy did wonders for the show, kept the ship tip top by limiting the laziness in the writing and ensuring that stuff actually progressed the story. Season 3 was great aside from the last 2 or 3 episodes, and Season 2 was underrated. The episodes from season 4 and on are like soap operas covered with zombie sauce.
It was pretty clear to me they were gonna wander and unite in Alexandria in the season finale. I figured we would get some pretty lazy episodes like these, hoping they throw in a least a few monkey wrenches before this season ends.
its actually pretty much following the comic, but i think they could have condensed the last 3 episodes into 2. i was expecting this weeks to have some major s*** go down since the first 2 were pretty much set-up episodes. but insteads we got a 3rd set-up episode...and no daryl. i guess they couldnt really show him this week since he was certainly boning that blonde chick the whole time and its only basic cable. i remember that there is some deliverance-type stuff that goes down in the comic. not sure how they will play that on tv though.
I continue to not hate this show and I enjoy tuning in. I swear I'm going to keep watching, or else I might watch something else.
Sometimes I feel like others are watching a completely different show than I am. People complain that there isn't anything happening when all I see is masterful, intense-more-than-not (in comparison to the last 2 seasons) story building. You are all wanting **** to hit the fan but you have to chew, swallow and digest it all to get the **** first. I can't think of one episode this season that was an absolute stalemate and didn't progress the story for me. The very first episode of this season was, to me, the most slow burn-bore but it was essential for me to thoroughly enjoy what the writers had for me in the episodes to come.
yeaI can deal with the build up and slower episodes, but i wished they cleaned it up a bit. Like when Rick was struggling with that guy in the bathroom knocking over stuff and hitting the door.... a couple changes would have made it more plausible that no one came to check what was going on.
dont worry.. if you read the comic books they are far from safe.. but im sure the damn show will drag this story line on for like forever and probably end the season when they start to become not safe the walking dead where characters do things that are not logical and dont make any sense.. you just have to stop asking questions and enjoy the show/story.. otherwise you can nitpick it to death
Washington eventually comes into play. It may not be til next season or the 2nd half of next season...depending how fast they move the story along. It may be season after next when the story REALLY gets interesting.
Spoiler I assumed when Rick woke up with the guys in the house that they were the "hunters" from the comic. I read the comics in between seasons 3/4 and it just made the show seem worse. So much unfulfilled potential.
