    Bullsh!t. You're a liar.

The shutdown was caused by Republican intransigence. The Democrats refused to negotiate with terrorists, to their credit. Hopefully, that incident will cause enough shame among Republicans that they don't try such a stunt again.

Actually the democrats decided to try to selfishly score what they perceived to be as a partisan victory, at the expense of America. They prioritized pushing their flawed healthcare plan before it was ready, even if it meant a partial government shutdown. The common sense solution would have been to delay Obamacare, which is what the Republicans proposed. Just look at what a disaster the Obamacare rollout was. Should have delayed.

It may very well be the case that some components of the ACA should have been delayed, in fact, some of them have been. However, claiming that the shutdown was caused by anyone other than Republicans is an out-and-out lie. I far prefer that such a delay be the result of a deliberative process rather than a response to a terrorist threat.

Apparently, terrorism is fine by you as long as your ideological masters are the perpetrators.

Not surprised. Come out blazing like a hero with some brilliant plan and ended up destroying the Republican reputation even more than thought possible. He's so brilliant he's stupid.

If the agenda is obstruction, he is accomplishing the goal.

For people like the Kochs who would openly state they want to stave off tax reform, election reform and greater control of the corporate abuses of low wages, offshore profits and socialized losses, and environmental damage, he's a winner. And, I won't be surprised if in a few election cycles there is a viable third "Tea Party" who win enough gerrymandered districts to grind things to a halt all on their own.

The results of the rollout tell all you need to know. The voters will speak with their votes in November, and things aren't forecasted to go well for the dems.

All the dems had to do was put their pride aside and delay Obamacare. They didn't at the time, we had a partial government shut down, and now Obama is delaying it himself. This is clearly on the dems. It's not even up for debate.

Bull effing ****. You're right that it isn't even up for debate, the only question is whether you are just continuing to lie or whether you have simply bought the lies you have been told.

You're either a liar or a sheep, my money is on liar.

With the intra-party civil war going on with the GOP about how to attack the ACA and not being able to form a coherent message, I'm thinking you might want to rethink how this fall's midterms are gong to play out.

Hell the GOP senate minority leader is looking like he'll lose his job over Obamacare.

How can you say that, when Obama is now delaying so many key parts of Obamacare? You cannot.

You can continue cussing and calling me a liar, but those are simply ways to deflect attention away from what's being discussed. (try to keep it civil). purely a crutch

I can say that because THE REPUBLICANS THREATENED TO TAKE DOWN THE ECONOMY. The fact that some parts of the ACA were delayed don't change that one, simple fact.

If you want to avoid being called a liar THEN STOP LYING!

    Republican Alternatives To Obamacare

    http://www.theonion.com/articles/republican-alternatives-to-obamacare,34445/

As the White House struggles with the rollout of Obamacare’s online health insurance marketplace, pressure has mounted within the Republican Party to begin offering conservative alternatives that address the nation’s health care crisis. Here are some of the plans the GOP is considering:

Repeating the phrase “you can keep your current doctor” over and over until something happens

Loosening regulations to allow Americans to ship ill and injured family members to cheaper doctors overseas

Whatever the opposite of tyranny is

Allowing sick Americans to choose how they exhaust their life savings on a single medical bill, even if it’s out of plan

A true market-based solution—perhaps a convenient website—where uninsured people would pay for their own health insurance from private providers

$2,500 cash incentive to the first person who cures cancer

A health care law that won’t allow the disgrace of another Benghazi

Unsettling language and several ominous-looking graphs labeled “Obamacare” followed by a breezy smile and soothing, unspecific words

so now you've included CAPS LOCK in addition to name calling and cussing.

"take down the economy"? Um, no. Closing a few national parks for a bit isn't equal to "TAKING DOWN THE ECONOMY".

You know that the dems came away looking foolish, given what's developed with the Obamacare rollout. The right thing to do was to delay it. Instead, the dems put pride before country.

They THREATENED to take down the economy during the debt ceiling talks, they ACTUALLY shut down the government unless the dems negotiated on the ACA.

The one who looks foolish here is YOU, given that all you have are lies and spin from the right, intended to distract from the fact that it is the GOP making threats, shutting down government, and generally acting like spoiled toddlers over the ACA.

BTW, I wouldn't say that I used caps lock, given that I only capitalized the words to which I wanted to add emphasis.
Then, the dems engaged in a deliberative process in which they decided that it DID make sense to delay certain components, and now the GOP is blasting them for that too.

    Delusion abounds in your circles.

a "deliberative process" lol you mean the one the Republicans were suggesting all along, before the partial government shutdown? Your logic is flimsy.

Responding to a crisis created by the GOP is not a "deliberative process," it is rushing to do something as a result of a threatened, then executed, government shutdown. A deliberative process is one in which decisions are made in the absence of threats based on the facts.

The GOP made, then executed, threats. The shutdown is on them, no matter how desperately you would like it to appear otherwise.

Lol, still calling them terrorists I see. Even when it turns out they were right...are they terrorists or is Harry Reid/Obama stubborn? I think it's the latter. They ended up doing exactly what the Republicans were demanding, because oh, that's right THEY WERE RIGHT!

No, I disagree. The shutdown is on Harry Reid and the Democrats. You think Democrats don't make demands and idle threats? HA!!! Republicans (some) stood up for what they and their constituents believed in, that is that our debt is too large, our government is too big, and this law is causing more harm than good. Unfortunately, some thing we can ride the rainbow to infinity and we'll never have to make a tough sacrifice. Democrats have no interest in making the tough choices. Not now at least. Not until someone else is the White House and they don't have to take them blame.

Fine, if you want to blame it on Republicans, go ahead. At least some of them have the balls to stand up and fight for what they believe in.
