Yea your trade is more realistic..even then I don't see why they would do that trade also. Hardaway potential to be better than Lin and Asik isn't a upgrade over chandler at this point. Other than Asik is younger.

Tough question for everyone. Would you give up Parsons if it means getting Carmelo???

Because they are the Knicks. Melo's leavign anyway, Knicks can completely tank for a pick and develop Hardaway at the same time.

Depends on who else we would need to give in addition up to get him, unless you mean a fantasy Parsons for Melo straight up - then, yes.

Yep they can't afford to lose, which is putting pressure on the front office I guess but with so little àssets they don't have a choice, it's either trade for 2014 1sts from other teams or try and trade for win now purposes

    I like this one.

Rockets get the big 3, remedy reunites with Amar'e, Shumpert and Tyson.

Melo said yesterday he knows for a fact he's not getting traded. I'm more than inclined to believe him, Melo stuff is a pipe dream.

It's a bit confusing but this article clears it all up basically the nuggets get the worst pick out of Knicks and nuggets in hone 1st round and then have the trade the worst of those 2 to the magic, both are unprotected so the Knicks can't just tank and get a wiggins

The New York Knicks and Denver Nuggets draft pick clear up
Don't look now, but the New York Knicks are on fire - they snapped their nine-game losing streak against the Brooklyn Nets 113-83. With that win the Knicks improved to 4-13 and moved to just three games out of the playoff race, behind the Charlotte Bobcats who are 8-11.

With each Knicks loss the amount of questions I receive about clarifying the Knicks' draft pick increases. I would venture to guess that most of our readers here on Denver Stiffs know the 411 (information!) on the upcoming draft scenarios, but let's clear it up just for funzies. Funzies? Sorry about that one folks.

The Denver Nuggets will have four draft picks in the upcoming 2014 draft (Real GM), but they will only be able to keep three of those picks.

Here are the picks the Nuggets are owed:

2014 first round draft pick from New York
New York's 2014 1st round pick to Denver [Denver-Minnesota-New York, 2/22/2011]; Denver may convey this pick to Orlando (see Denver Debits)

2014 second round draft pick from Portland
    Portland's 2014 2nd round pick to Denver [Denver-Portland, 6/24/2011]

Here are the picks the Nuggets owe to other teams:

2014 first round draft pick to Orlando
Denver will convey the less favorable of its 2014 1st round pick and New York's 2014 1st round pick to Orlando [Denver-Minnesota-New York, 2/22/2011 and then Denver-L.A. Lakers-Orlando-Philadelphia, 8/10/2012]

    **

The Nuggets also have both of their own picks in the upcoming draft. Meaning they have a first-round pick and a second-round pick.

    What does it all mean?

The Nuggets will wind up with three of the four draft picks they own. The Nuggets will have their second round pick and they get the Blazers' second round pick (looking like that will be a very low pick towards the bottom of the draft).

The Nuggets will keep one of the two first round picks. If the Knicks' pick ends up being #6 and the Nuggets' pick is #22 then the Nuggets will keep the #6 pick and trade the #22 pick to the Magic.

If the Nuggets' pick is #20 and the Knicks' pick is #21 then the Nuggets will keep #20 and trade #21 to the Magic.

The Knicks' pick is unprotected as is the Nuggets' pick. So, just as an example, let's say the Knicks' pick ends up being #1 and the Nuggets' pick is #2 then the Nuggets keep the #1 pick and trade the #2 pick to the Magic. Or if the Nuggets' pick is #1 and the Knicks' pick is #2 then the Nuggets keep #1 and trade the #2 pick to the Magic. In that scenario this blogger's head would also explode.

Make sense? The Nuggets will have two first round picks, will keep the best one, and then the worse one goes to the Magic as part of that Arron Afflalo and Al Harrington trade that brought in The Mole.

Definitely, with Melo on the team Parsons wouldn't really be a good fit anymore. You would need an elite defender at the 3 rather than someone like Parsons, who is primarily a scorer

That's before he said he was going to test free agency. That might mean something.

Can Melo start at four? he is not that much smaller than Dwight. They can then sub Jones in early for Parsons and then bring Parsons back when Melo gets tired.

If you can keep Parsons you keep him. The guy is a good defender when he expends his energy on this side of the ball.

He is also a good shooter out of the corner and helps the offense run better.

He'll be making 9 miklion+ soon, and I'd rather pick up a great defender for 3-5 million, than hope that Parsons can transform into that guy for 2-3X the pay. I don't want another Lin situation where a really talented (and highly paid) player has to be moved to the bench because he's not a good fit.

Trade Parsons for Melo. Or trade Harden for Melo. Go for the chip now!

Stephen A. Smith is another reporter playing gotcha and trying to cause controversy. People that watch tv are lonely, hate everything and want to screw everyone. That's the audience Stephen A. Smith is appealing too. I doubt there's any truth to the rumor.
