    This comparison is flawed.

Your comparing a gay guy in locker room with men to a straight guy in a locker room with women. It isn't the same.

If u were to compare a gay girl in a locker room of girls with a gay guy in a locker room of guys it would be a more correct comparison. If you want to compare a straight guy in a girls locker room u compare it with a straight girl in a mens locker room.

True things are much better for homosexuals now than even 20 years ago but I don't think being gay in America is without consequence. As you note certain fields were much more open to gays than others, the arts for instance, but men's professional sports isn't one of them.

I don't know about pounding people into submission (is there a pun in there? ;)) but yes there is a segment of the gay community that is very vocal but I think you have to put it into context when for most of this country's history homosexuality was both culturally and even legally despised. It is should be expected that there is a counter reaction of gay pride as much as any group that had been marginalized would want to express some pride. Not saying that it doesn't get over the top at times but putting it in context.

I think though for this specific discussion I don't see Michael Sam as being over the top. He did say he is a proud gay man but he also is saying that isn't what he is primarily about.
Thanks and I appreciate it but honestly I don't feel like I have been very even tempered. I guess that is where the standards of the D&D have fallen you can feel like you are getting heated over a debate but if you don't call someone a "Wingnut" or "Libtard" it is considered even tempered.

Sorry those comments were not so specifically addressed to you but to the several times in this in other thread that that has been brought up.

In general one thing I have noticed in these type of debates is that those who are most uncomfortable with homosexuality are the ones who focus on and bring up the sex acts.
I understand you are talking in general but we are also talking specifically about the Micheal Sam case so I was noting that in response to a question about Michael Sam you brought up "Constantly stating it or reminding or the whole "gay pride" thing is just annoying."

I voted yes. I just happy to see that the entire conversation here has centered around being naked...

    and not something serious.

As long as he or she takes care of business on the field of play it wouldn't bother me at all.

Both are stupid, the former for assuming gays don't sufficiently share enough of your modesty, behavioral decency or romantic selectivity to not routinely accost strangers while naked. Oddly enough by inserting that additional premise, you answer your own question; because there are idiots who worry about being naked around their teammates.

I'll let a gay man shower with me as soon as I'm allowed to shower with women at the gym.

Since your vagina looks the same as theirs I'm sure that'd be OK.
