Actually, Manziel in the second would be a good thing. Just not #1.
And you are saying this because the experts are always right??

Watched more of Clowney. This time the Clemson game, you know that was up and down with their offensive abilities, I saw 4 great plays out of him but still see the same play style as before straight up and down rushing trying to beat his man off the edge with speed. It looks like this year his numbers dropped because they figured him out. I also watched the Arkansas game which was not much but still a good amount of play since they blew them out early and also watched him against Taylor Lewan another projected 1st round pick at LT. He played well against Lewan and showed headiness as well as great instincts in what the team was planning to run. That was from 2012 so maybe he's just getting lazy on defense and only wanting to bull rush or speed rush cause that's all I've seen of him this year.

Again not impressed, besides that monster hit on the Michigan RB where the lineman missed his assignment, terrific play but again he needs to show leverage "bend", a more refined repertoire, and be a finisher against the rush. Those big question marks regarding his play this year are valid, you don't see the same player as in 2012.

Are you comparing Clowney's tape to J.J.'s NFL tape are college tape because they look totally different.

J.J. didn't show in college what he is doing in the NFL.

    Agreed.
If we could go Clowney and then Manziel in the 2nd round. I would be more than satisfied.

1st round grade doesn't necessarily mean those particular teams have them rated as the best player available if they choose to go that route.

Like I said, we'll see what teams do in free agency and how tall or how short these quarterbacks are, how much they weigh or don't weigh, and how strong their arms are or aren't come the combine and their pro days.

Weren't impressed with the Tennessee game? What I saw is Clowney make the 1st offensive lineman responsible for blocking him completely whiff half the time on his blocks.

Lol at everyone raving about one game.

My take was from his all around game, not just one or two of those games.

That's exactly how guys here fall in love with Kelvin Cato and Donate Greene's. SMH

Bridgewater or Clowney on the Jags is scary

Our secondary will carved like turkey if Bridgewater is allowed to sit back there and sling it to Shorts and Blackmon (money on that he will be back)

Put Clowney on the line with Watt and a legit NT and he won't have any time to "carve up the secondary" even if he had the talent for it in the first place.

No doubt he has the talent and the IQ to do it. We will see alot of balance, a lot of play action. A lot of rushes that force Watt and Clowney to stay home.

I don't know if Nix will be available at the top of the second, would make my day though.

    Do not sleep on Bridgewater

I just feel like he'd get broken in two, he's a small guy and I think Watt would put him into the ground.

I believe the Rams would draft Clowney if the Texans don't. Fisher had Jevon Kearse so I don't see him passing up on Clowney especially when they have another pick right outside the top 10.

For everyone worried about Bridgewater's frame I would point out that he may be 205 lbs. but at least he's 205 lbs. of pure muscle:

    Instead of lank.

Also, how does Bridgewater's frame constantly come into question yet the true "running QB"s doesn't? At least he's taller than Manziel we know that for sure but you could argue that Manziel's frame is cause for concern at the next level as he is contantly throwing himself at opponents during one of his many improv exhibitions.

Besides that I have no worries that he will fill out at the next level, as most QBs do when they mature and make this sport their profession.
