Agree to disagree...manziel is much more convincing than Young, and i'm not even a fan of either..i think Young thought he had it figured out and would TMAC his way through the league, while Manziel knows he's good now, but needs to put in work to be great in the NFL.

They're both headcases that were great QB's in college who didn't have what it takes to be a QB at the NFL level. Manziel is just a miniature version of VY.

Sure, as a stopgap measure till the QB they draft gets up to speed....and it's not someone they spent a draft pick on. If they'd have picked up Manziel as an UFA a couple of years ago and he went through a year on the practice squad paying his dues, I'd be fine with Manziel being a stopgap measure till we get someone better.

Same mentality as Peyton Manning, Ryan Leaf, and virtually every other QB in the NFL. It would fascinating to find a QB that doesn't hope to break records or be the best in the game.

If fairly generic comments to the media affect the Texans' evaluation of a player, the problem is with the Texans, not the player.

That's fine we can do that, but Vince Young had all the tools to succeed, just not the brains for it, Manziel doesn't have either.

Not every QB runs off at the mouth saying that if teams pass on them "it'll be the worst mistake they ever made" It's one thing to hope to do great, it's another thing to be an idiot.

This reminds me of another arrogant headcase who sealed his fate with pre-draft comments.

Every year the top picks say stuff like this.

Again, if they are deciding on a QB based on a guy saying fairly harmless things to the media instead of on the relevant skill sets, the Texans front office is the problem in the equation.

So now Manziel is "almost undraftable"? Fascinating fantasy world you live in.

There's hardly ever any closed doors in pro sports. That could have easily been reported. Pizza is pizza, whether you do carry out or delivery :p

Well of course this won't be the deciding factor, his lack of talent made that decision long ago, but if he was in consideration, running his mouth to the media like this would be something that would take him out of consideration. No one wants a distraction and that's all he is. He's the next coming of Tebow in that respect.

No need to research stuff you make up...

And if Mallet can snort cocaine and still get drafted in the 3rd... If Sherman was considered a 1st round prospect _ he wouldn't have felt to the 5th.

I Just thought of something else. Isn't Manziel being advised by LeBron's people? I don't think anybody would ever accuse the people behind "The Decision" of subtlety.

Well if he's undraftable anyway, then what does it matter what he says? It would have no effect on anything.
